So answer me honestly- do you folks really enjoy the ongoing, seemingly endless gun-related threads that have occupied the AMT section of this forum since, oh I don't know, December 14th 2012? It's pretty much kept me away from here lately-- yeah, I know... boo-hoo. ...............
are you saying the AMT is like one big family? Cause if so, I want to be the crazy aunt who drinks too much, has way too much sex and wears all of her jewelry and accessories at once but still has really great taste in music 8-)

But no...I don't really like those threads...I don't mind the debate when it actually stays on topic, but I'm not really a fan of some of the needling and disrespect. [will shrug]

Yeah, I think of AMT as a type of extended family. I suppose you could say that's stretching the meaning of the term quite a bit but it seems that way to me- at least somewhat.

Yes, all families need an eccentric! Eccentric women are some of my favorite people. You're in excellent company! :D

My frustration (and I'm well aware that's my problem and no one else's which is why the sarcastic boo-hoo roll eyes hahaha) over the gun threads is that there are so many of them these days I'm tempted to suggest we ask the mods to rename this part of the forum "A Revolving Gun" (bang bang, shoot shoot). Oh thank god for humor! So I was getting very frustrated by all this and getting to the point that sooner or later someone was going to tell me to go pound sand or I needed to go hide for a while. Well, it's winter and cave dwelling seems more comfortable than slamming my head in the sand on the beach. See my logic?
"A Revolving Gun" - I like it!  I'm all for hiding out from time to time. I usually go play on AET for a while when I need to do that...it's sort of like the kids table at Thanksgiving...you can play and have a break from the grownups bickering

I dunno, Brian. I think as long as the guidelines are followed, people can say what they want on any subject, and those who want to reply can. There are many threads I don't read, many that I do and don't reply (or, I Churchill it :P ), and others in which I partake.

Sure it's easy to get fed up with periodic repetition, the in-fighting, the general unconstructive anger...when I reach that point, it's time to move on for a spell. Online, offline, it's just healthy to do so - at least for me.

Hope you're having a stress-free Sunday so far.

I've have a good day- thanks, hedonist,

Yeah stress is a killer. I'm working on going the other direction. Of course, as far as work week goes this is my Saturday night so it's been easy to do if you know what I mean.
