what just happened, I did not have to hit F5 1000 times....my browser did not crash......I was able to click every show I wanted (I know I may not get them, but at least there is hope this way!)

I hope the hell this works, and we all get the shows we want

I have never not gotten tickets for a show I wanted to get tickets to, so I don't know if I really like this system. I hear people talking about the same fans being in the first row, but they switched the first few rows into a lottery system. Quite frankly getting tickets to a PJ show is easier than buying some of the merch. Maybe they should change everything to a lottery. I don't understand why PJ would want to make it difficult for fans to follow them on tour. I find it hard to believe that PJ could sellout so many shows if it wasn't for fans to go to all 2-3 shows in the same city. On the other hand the largest city I live near is Toronto, so maybe it is really hard to get tickets in a place like New York. All I know is that back in 05 I sat next to the same guy in Kitchener, Hamilton, London and Toronto , so it is 10c members who help sell out these shows.

I was smooth sailing for years. Then right after 2008 my luck went south. I was crazy trying to get tickets for hours only to end up with nothing from 10c. I'll take this any day.... If I get tix yay, if not, I wouldn't have wasted five hours of my life to get shut out and turned into a maniac.
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

Yeah but it looks like you only get to have Ten Club tickets for one show per tour. That's why they are ranked by preference.
Well, if the demand is that great, yeah, although their main goal is to let those in high 10C population areas like NYC only get one pair of tix when they're playing a bunch of shows in that region ... which seems really fair to me; more people in total will get to see at least one show. You just start finding ticket buddies for the rest! It sounds like good motivation for everyone to stop inviting their non-PJ fan friends to the show, and start swapping singles with other 10c ticket holders if they want to see multiple shows. Good way to make PJ friends. :)

Does anyone need only one Mars STANDING and want to share a pair?

I like this new system, especially because I don't get too excited about Northeast shows anymore (but I know I'll end up going anyway!).

I like it too. It means that maybe 3/4 of the 10C crowd for Vancouver shows won't be pairs from Seattle (not that I don't love people from Seattle... we just need more of a fair shake for those shows up here!).

I cn't see them announcing any tour before the summer - I'm guessing summer announcement, fall tour (but with a weekend at The Gorge in July :D ). They wouldn't want to tour before the album is released I shouldn't think... Would they? And I can't see the album released earlier than August.

They announce that far in advance?? Well if that's the case, yeah... I'm not used to anyone announcing 6 months in advance. Isn't 3 more the norm? Well, either way, a fall tour would be sweet. Not too hot. Good concerts are too fucking hot in the summer (besides The Gorge).

Yeah but it looks like you only get to have Ten Club tickets for one show per tour. That's why they are ranked by preference.

That's not true at all. What it means is that in high demand areas like NYC, it will be hard to get multiple nights if there is enough demand to fill the 10C allotment for those nights with first choice selectors.

In many other cities, 10C tickets have taken days to sell out or not at all, in those cases, you will get tickets even if it is your 10th preference down.

Some shows will have very few members making it their first choice (example a show in New Mexico) and others will have more people making it their first choice than can get tickets (MSG). This will introduce strategy into properly ordering your selections to maximize your chances for the most number of shows.
  • all was fine with my entries just now....

ok so i am ok with this, being shut out of nj/ny/philly the last few years...where did all of you come from lol...i used to have no prob getting in but the last few years...nothing...so hoping my luck is on the upswing!!!!! and no philly flu either hahaha

I wasn't a big fan of the lottery system but at least this would seem to improve it a bit. Allthough the old system was frustrating I'd never gotten shut out of a tickets, so thats why I'm not a big fan of the lottery.

That being said I ranted quite a bit about how they should do preferences so I'm fairly stoked to see thats the direction they're going. It would seem a shame to shut out fans that might only be seeing 1 or 2 shows for a tour so that someone can see their 20th. I didn't like geographical restriction because PJ tours are pretty small now, so it would block out alot of fans too.

So I'm please with this turn of events. Hopefully I don't get shutout. I usually try and see the Seattle & Vancouver shows... Seattle ones are always the harder draw.

One draw entry per show. So maximum 8 entries. That's how I read it, anyway.

Yay!! Super excited about this new system. It seemed to run really smoothly. No major issues really, just had to re-login to the forums. AND Happy Birthday to me - I checked the status on my merch order and it says warehouse...so hopefully I get it fairly soon! 2013 is thus far, awesome. :D
    Its good to be back!!
