Eagles release Vinny Curry after failing to agree to pay cut
by Esten McLaren · 5h ago
MINNEAPOLIS MN - FEBRUARY 04 Vinny Curry 75 of the Philadelphia Eagles celebrates after defeating the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII at US Bank Stadium on February 4 2018 in Minneapolis Minnesota

The Philadelphia Eagles are releasing defensive end Vinny Curry, the team confirmed Friday.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Network was the first to report the story.

Curry and the team were unable to come to an agreement on a pay cut. Garafolo adds that $5 million of Curry's $9-million base salary for 2018 would have become guaranteed on Sunday.

The six-year veteran started all 16 games last season and all three playoff contests en route to the Super Bowl LII victory.

He becomes one of the top edge defenders on the open market.

Watch: Wentz posts throwing video 3 months after ACL surgery
by Jack Browne · 2h ago

    Carson Wentz is throwing again

    (: @cj_wentz / Instagram)

Carson Wentz is well on the road to recovery based on videos posted to the Philadelphia Eaglesstar quarterback's Instagram on Monday.

The former first-round pick looked comfortable throwing and planting his left leg - which had a sizable brace on it - just three months after undergoing ACL surgery.

Wentz said in January he believes he'll be ready for the 2018 season opener.

oops. maybe not such a good trade after all.

Yeah, I meant to add this.  Does not seem to be the best use of this woman in terms of employment.

I know. Outside of the legal issue itself, this seems like an odd job for a person in that capacity.

Seems a little fishy to anyone? Happened over a year ago and not a peep? No video, yet they were able to indict?

Only listened to a couple minutes of the press conference and without knowing the all of the details....that's kind of my first impression too.

I mean, if he really knocked the hell out of this poor lady and everything is true, then obviously he's a dirt bag POS. But something doesn't quite add up...

A paraplegic elderly security guard to stop people from aceesing the field?
Ahahahahaha.  Dude I agree that us whacked.  Find the poor lady a different job.  Fuck, people.

And agree that if he really pushed over an old guy lady that he is a total asshole.
(Shouldn't be arrested by the sounds of it at first read, though.)

He’s a dickhead regardless of the validity of these allegations. Anyone that’s watched a Seahawks game in the past few years knows that.
