Throughout this debate... I have been suggesting moderation (as most have). I have repeatedly promoted the shotgun as a weapon where citizens may arm themselves to defend against home invasion. It's telling that the shooter had no use for it this day when he was hell bent on mass killings: it was not going to be near as effective as the handguns and assault rifle. Defends the homeowner... cripples a shooter's chances for a mass slaughter: what's not to like?

Further... if people really think the home invasion is a legitimate threat given the percentages... why don't they place bars on their windows and use iron doors?

So... correct me if I'm wrong... you don't buy the 'official' story presented after days of gathering evidence and investigating circunstances... But... you place 100% faith in the liberal media's initial reports that were reported/recorded as events unfolded?

Where are you getting this?? Police investigations aren't normally presenting evidence that is somewhere between the truth and a conspiracy theory... I think you have COMPLETELY lost the thread now. You really think the police investigators in Newtown have some kind of gun control agenda here? If so, you are the only conspiracy theorist - no one else.

Its the first phase of spinning it into "you're sheep if you believe everything you hear!" instead of possibly realizing that it could be false that the Bushmaster was left in the car.

There must have been dozens, if not hundreds of officials on the scene in CT...but a conspiracy, or plot to mislead the public as to where the Bushmaster was, is feasible (thats sarcasm ).

Facts... are not created. They exist (or do not exist), in and of themselves. If 'facts' are created to describe an incorrect picture, they are not facts.
The facts are... a lone 20 year old man shot his way past locked glass doors and proceeded to murder 26 people... after murdering his mother. 4 weapons were found on scene. 3 of the weapons were recovered from the killing zone, one from the murderer's vehicle. The main weapon used was found with 3 spent 30 round magazines and a fourth with an unreported number of remaining rounds. The murderer took his own life with one of the two 9mm pistols, specifics on which weapon was used are unreported.

What we don't know... is why. That is where we can only speculate because those facts are difficult to come by.

They finally had to come out and admit it, now that the Coroner has released some info along with Police. An AR-15 Rifle or the so-called "Assault Weapon" was not used in the school shooting. The shooter even tried weeks earlier to buy a Rifle but was turned down in the background check. So he had to kill his Mother to steal her rifle. There were initial reports right after the shooting, that Police found the AR-15 Rifle in his car, NOT IN THE SCHOOL. The Rifle was not used. The Shooter went into the school with 4 handguns. Not an Assault Rifle as the media/AMT has charged.

I remember in the initial hours of this shooting, the Police said they found the Rifle in the car. But the News Media had a Pre-Planned Attack already waiting, to ban so-called assault weapons and jumped on that line of reporting, knowing it was a lie. Including people like Piers Morgan who said the shooter used an AR-15 that shoots hundreds of rounds per minute, as if it were a machinegun. Could it be that the Democrat Liberals and the Media were pushing for the new law, hoping they could do it, before the Coroner released the info.

I'm betting on it.

I was curious about the firing rate of a semi-auto ar-15. I found this video: (with Queen remix) He lets loose at 1:50. My guess is that the rate with this technique would go into the hundreds per minute.

Agreed. Don't get me wrong, it would be cool to have one, but it's completely uneeded in ANY capacity.

btw, I do not own any guns. (even though i've been advised by both a judge, and multiple police officers to purchase one due to someone from my girlfriends past that keeps popping up and has a violent history)
