The President, vice-President, all of Congress should lead by example and declare gun free zones around themselves.

The President is protected by armed men with full auto weapons for the rest of his life, he should show us how it can be done.

    maybe if guns were not so readily available some leader might be willing to set an example like that. but in today's current world, with anyone able to get a gun and walk up and shoot someone, i do not see it happening...

    reagan got shot with security detail. lincoln got shot with a security guard, kennedy got shot with a bunch of security guards, the pope got shot, etc... security is not always the appropriate answer, but asking the president of the united states to forgo security detail is about as out there as someone who wants to shoot the president.
