I think it's awesome when I see celebrities doing stuff we do. It humanizes them. Media crams them down our throats, and then you see them in public with their guard down doing their thing, and it's cool to see.

I agree, its nice to see them there. They are no different. What is the problem? I have seen many at the shows I have attended. A fan is a fan! Just there to enjoy the best band on the earth. I think its pretty cool of them to like my favorite band too.

    I agree.

I am a celebrity and can't stand when people give me dirty looks just because I'm sitting really close to the stage at Pearl Jam concerts.
that's shit, guess it really ruins the concert for ya  :p
    The Astoria??? Orgazmic!
    Verona??? it's all surmountable
Dublin 23.08.06 "The beauty of Ireland, right there!"
    Wembley? We all believe!
Copenhagen?? your light made us stars
    Chicago 07? And love
    What a different life
Had I not found this love with you
  • I say fair play to 'em! They obviously have taste ;)
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

I don't have a problem with them being there, I just think that they should have to get the tickets like the rest of us.
I don't see why they should get special treatment.
    Astoria 20/04/06, Leeds 25/08/06, Prague 22/09/06, Wembley 18/06/07,
    Dusseldorf 21/06/07, Manchester 17/08/09, London 18/08/09, LA 06/10/09, LA 07/10/09.

Ain't gonna be any middle anymore.

You know it gives me a weird feeling when you think that theres people like the Olsens that like PJ...
I kind of feel like they arent good enough for Pearl Jam, you know? Is that weird??

Yes, it's weird. It's one of the most ridiculous thing I've ever read.

Who are you to say that someone isn't good enough to like PJ? It's like a movie star telling you that you aren't good enough to enjoy his/her movie.

Doesn't that sound a bit foolish?

By the names mentioned I would say they get special treatment because they are friends of the band, not because they are celebrities.
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

Why the hate on the Olsen's? They were in showbiz from age 1 which is tough to come out of "normal" . If they can end up at a PJ concert rocking out then they are alright in my book.

They seem pretty cool compared to a lot of the other similar aged starlets.

    I'd hit it ~obligatory~

speaking of celebrities (or something like that) did anyone else see the retired numbers in the rafters (my first time at MSG)? Rangers and Knicks cool...but wtf is up with elton john and billy joel having their numbers retired?

Not understanding here why some feel it's ok to come on the board and trash the band's friends. Let's elevate the discussion...ok? Rude posts not ok.
