Bootlegs you recommend

If you have bootlegs you would recommend please post the name of the concert, and if possible *please please please* could you include the link to the MP3? If it's in the download/share thread could you write what post it's on?

Speaking of bootlegs - last night was the first time I successfully downloaded a bootleg. As I was doing this I was thanking all of you incredibly generous people for putting the energy into uploading them, and writing out instructions. I was feeling the warm and fuzzy karma :D

Thank you :) That was very nice for me, and the rest of us who can share in the music wealth. It was very nice of you.

The bootlegs I have everyone has so unfortunately, I can't contribute much in that way. My gratitude is endless, though.

Sounds good! In another thread someone mentioned Lisbon II 2006. I interviewed someone who attended, and I'm looking forward to hearing the concert. The other ones look good, too:)

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I've been trying to find some good shows from 98 and 00. It seems like the 2000 shows' sound isn't that great (same with the 2005 shows) but here are my favorites from 2006

    Cleveland
Boston (I think the 2nd night)
    Marseilles
Milan (the crowd is awesome and it's the DVD version of Alive..which is awesome)
    Grand Rapids
    San Diego (probably the best)

    Shows I didn't care for:

    Washington DC
    Cincinnati
    Las Vegas
    Detroit

That's the second recommendation for San Diego 06 I've heard. Looks like I'll be listening to that one soon, too.

I believe it was me who you interviewed :)

Lisbon II is a MUST-HAVE! Just listen to the crowd during the first chorus of 'Garden'.

Off the top of my head...

    2000:
    -Katowice II
    -Milan
    -Saratoga
-San Francisco - the second disc in particular is super entertaining. A personal fave of mine.

    2003:
-Nashville - easily one of the strongest shows of that tour, very underrated in my opinion.
    -Lexington
    -Champaign
    -Albany
    -Uniondale
    -Buffalo
    -Council Bluffs
    -East Troy
    -Washington
    -Homdel

    2005:
    -Hamilton
    -Halifax
    -Santiago II
    -Buenos Aires I

    2006:
    -Grand Rapids
    -Cleveland
    -Washington
    -Las Vegas
    -Los Angeles I
    -Santa Barbara
    -San Franciso I and III
    -Dublin
    -Arnhem
    -Lisbon I and II
    -Paris
-Bolgona, Verona, Milan, Torino, Pistoia (all 5 make up a great set to listen to)
    -Berlin
    -Zagreb

Sorry for the long list, but those are the shows i can always go back to and be entertained.

I successfully downloaded yesterday, but today is a lesson in frustration. I downloaded 1 disc from Lisbon #2 2006, and then on the second disc, it just copied 5 seconds of the first song. I tried 4 different discs (I'm new at this) so I guess that's 4 discs of garbage, eh?

Most people download to the computer and keep them there, right? I don't want to do that because I want to hear them on my stereo, but if the slower speed doesn't work, as suggested by the error message, then I'll just remain confused.

I'm listening to it on my computer, and it sounds like the strings of sound are strained, and then put back together with air in between the strings. However, Eddie just spoke Portuguese, and that was so cool! It's still very enjoyable, but as far as sound goes, it doesn't have the thick low glue that I hear more off the computer.

Ohmygawd, ohmygawd, ohmygawd! Philly '05, and not just because I was there. Just listening to the bootlegs I would say it's on par with LEEDS and Lisbon #2 '06. I was there so I know it was a FUN show. :)

There's been a couple times that the encores are so energetic that I tend to consider that part of the concert almost separate (not just time wise) from the rest of the concert. It's like a new concert. In San Diego 06, and now Gorge #1, 06 the encores are where I consider the concert starts. I try to find something different during the main parts of the concerts to comment on, and I can find something, but with these two bootlegs it's the energy of the encores that differentiates them from other bootlegs.

I haven't noticed it much in the other bootlegs.
