This is most unfortunate as this poster truly is something to be seen in person. The blue metallics are a
hidden surprise that one can't see on a computer screen and this poster just radiates happiness and positive feelings. It is so unfortunate that what should be an awesome joy and experience receiving this print has turned out this way for you and I'm not even sure the artist is aware of his vendor handling his items in such fashion. I know for a fact that it can't be the artist as I have received from him before and everything was gem MINT and in a nice, sturdy tube with craft paper etc. The 3rd party handling his shipping and items needs to fix this and do better or they will lose business. I hope everyone else receives the poster in MINT condition and then can enjoy this gem. It really will light up the room we hang it.

Yes, best of luck to the rest of you.
Havent even had a chance to post about the aesthetics of the poster itself. The blue metallic ink in the 'Vedder' and on the water perfectly contrast the yellow in the piece.
Definitely needs to be seen in person.

Just got home and opened my poster. Same flimsy packaging as everyone has described so I was expecting the worst. Luckily it was in good shape and to my surprise there was a nice EV pick inside the plastic bag. Definitely made my day.

The poster just sparkles up close and in person, doesn't it? Sorry you didn't get a pick

Update: Not happy with the answers being given to me.
Transcript of email correspondence with Topatoco agent:

Disappointed in how the poster was shipped. Flimsy cardboard tube and poster put into plastic wrap.
Upon opening package, found poster to be dented on a couple edges, a bent up corner and some creasing(waving) on the poster image itself.

    Hey there Brian,

The tubes we ship the posters in are how we ship posters, and it's never been a problem before aside from things like, the tube getting run over by a mail truck! The plastic wrap is to protect it from moisture on the way to you.

If you could send us a photo of the damage you are talking about we'd appreciate it so we can see what you are talking about with damage to the poster.

    Here's a couple of pictures.

    Bent corner:

    Edge damage:

Creasing..hard to see in pic(through the "i" in performing):

    Hey there Brian,

Unfortunately in getting them signed just about all of them have the edge damage like you have a photo of. It's the nature of something being handled by human beings and not just straight printed and packed. We can send you a new one, and a reshipping label to send the one you have back to us. Obviously we'd want you to carefully re pack it in the clear plastic and the tube before sending it out to us to avoid further damage. If you want to pay $15 extra you can pay it by going <a href="http://topatoco.com/pay">to the <u>Handy Topatoco Pay Things Page</u></a> and clicking the Pay Now button we can flat pack it for you, otherwise it will come in exactly the same way the first one came.

Let us know what you'd like in terms of shipping you a replacement.

    Atraties

May I suggest your company change the way it packages and ships posters in the future. Thick poster tubes with seales plastic end caps is the norm. Posters are usually rolled in acid free craft paper inside the tube to further prevent any damage/shifting of print in transit. I have been an avid poster collector for many years and this method is the norm.
I have never seen the packaging of a poster like I have from your company.

I am extremely disappointed in the reasons given for the damage to the poster. So what you are saying is that the artist bent and damaged the print during the signing? I do not believe that. I have many prints both signed/numbered by artists that arrive in excellent condition.

For the record, I will keep the print, as I do not wish to shell out another $15 to mail back the poster with the high risk of getting another one in the same condition, because as you stated, "otherwise it will come in exactly the same way the first one came.".

    Brian

Finally, here is a pic of the poster tube.

Dude take them up on their offer to pay for shipping back to them. Then send it back in a fat yazoo or uline tube. Tell them to send the new one to you in the same tube you send them. And tell them to throw in a pick for your troubles.

can't see any major issues with those pictures , they will flatten / frame out

i think people get very freaky around here with what their perception of what a poster is, it appears to me they want it straight from the artists machine and even then , they would freak out because a spec of dust got on it

Received the print. The shipping on this one .. is frightening!!!

The poster tube ends were just bent. No taping at all. No caps. Nothing!!
Easily anyone could of opened the closure & taken the print inside.
I'm surprised it made it here across the border.

No guitar pick inside. Received a tiny crease on the bottom left of the print. D'oh!
