That was awesome! And something she'll likely remember forever...Lets hope she forgets all those F-bombs that Ed let out jokingly. ;)

This summation is too brief. He also mentioned that (I think) nearly 50K have commited suicide? could that be right? and there's an organization that helps troops with problems associate with this.

I think Ed mentioned an organization that helps soldiers who have battled with these issues and helps them return home and assimilate back into society. Does anybody know what this organization is?

No idea what that website is, but he also mentioned that over 50,000 people have committed suicide and that it would take 29 days to list them all off.

That is a fact I doubt ANYONE KNOWS!!! Alot of people chant - "no politics", but sometimes things need to be said that a large forum needs to hear that they don't know. So let Eddie talk for 3-4 minutes about soldiers, freedom, being free to be at the show, and more. He gives us hours of enjoyment, just be quiet for 3-4 minutes and let him speak his mind, you just might learn something. If you don't like it, just be respectful and shut it!!!

Thanks Eddie for opening our eyes to things that are important, unlike what Lindsey Lohan stole at the mall today or that Oprah flew her dog first class.

• Can anyone give more information on the "Pump Organ" song EV played? I felt like I have heard that song before, but I can't find it in any of the catalouges. Any info??

Also, seeing Chan Marshall play was like a dream, when he started talking about the musician he was bringing out, I didn't know what to expect, then he said "she" and I blurted out, Chan Marshall! She lives in Miami, oh please be her.. play Good Woman!! Lol I was beside myself!!! :P

Fantastic! Glen must've been quite happy someone managed to record that. And so am I!

From my perspective, row H, the incident of the fan jumping on stage was heart-stopping. Suddenly there is this tall, disheveled man running and climbing onto stage, then looming right over Glen and Eddie. The man reaches into his pocket … In a flat voice, Eddie says, “Hey man, what’s that in your pocket?” The relief when Ed saw it was just a CD must’ve ben great. After the man was ushered offstage Glen reached over and rubbed Ed on the back for moment. It was powerful, and frightening.

Completely agree. I've had a couple of really scary moments at shows (concerning my personal safety), but this was by far the scariest thing I have ever seen at a show. I was close as well, row K, and from my perspective all I could see was the fan's back. When I heard Ed's words it was really scary. After it was over, I was having flashes in my mind of hearing a gunshot at that point. I was really rattled. I think Ed was too, but he carried on like a pro.

How was the fan allowed to get to Ed??? There wasnt much venue security, but the aisles were one of the few areas where there was someone present. On top of that, Ed's bodyguard was watching the crowd like a hawk on night 1. How did he not tackle this guy before he reached Ed?

Yes, nothing happened, but we know this band's fans verge on obsessed and many cross that line. And we all know the history of musicians being hurt by obsessed fans. This was really scary.

• I was wondering the same thing about why Ed's security guard didn't tackle that guy before he got onstage. When I was at the ABQ show, I noticed Ed's security guard watching the crowd from the side of the stage very very closely. Perhaps he had to step away for just a moment when that occurred. I am just so grateful that everything turned out fine. Had I witnessed that, I would have been very scared too.

Seeing that guy run up on stage (did he use the seated security guard at the front as a step-stool??) and hearing Ed say, "what you got in your pocket, there, buddy?" was seriously in slow motion. :o  i am pretty sure my heart stopped. :o  i can't believe how Ed so seamlessly carried on like nothing happened, it took ME a minute to get over it and i was up on mezzanine. that guy should never have been allowed to get that close!!

otherwise, great show! great tour, hope all are enjoying clearwater now 8-)

I was sitting in row E, right on the aisle (Stone's side, LOL), and there was a gentleman from security sitting in a chair right in front of the stage the entire night. However, when the aforementioned "barking" fan was getting a little out of hand, this same security guy got up from his chair to walk back to row I or J-ish to speak with him (not sure why the barking fan didn't get kicked out at some point, but that's another story!). The "fan" who jumped on stage must have been waiting for a moment to do so because he was up there in a flash -- the very moment the security guard was gone from his chair. He hopped up on the empty chair and was on stage, no problem. This moment played out for me in slow motion as well. I'm sitting there with my five-year-old daughter in my lap thinking for a split second that I need to cover her eyes.... I think it was a bit jarring for everyone, but SO well handled by Ed.

Come to think of it -- this is the very first venue that I have been to to see PJ or Ed (it was my 19th show) in which no one ever searched my purse/bag. Scary....

I'm right there with you. I've been to hundreds of shows (even to "Christian" rock bands as a child) and have always had to stand in line to be patted down or wait on my girlfriend's bag to be searched.

In these two Ft Lauderdale shows, I have gone outside between performers to enjoy the weather. The geriatric security didn't even check my tickets once. Just a simple "do you know where you're going?" Ridiculous. I wouldn't be surprised if Eddie doesn't become much more judicious in choosing future venues (Detroit, Columbus, cough cough cough).

Having said that, nobody has commented on his little daughter's story about "No. No. It's Cat Stevens." My girl and I have been saying that every day. Very cute story. I'm so fortunate I was able to see both shows.
I've been to some shows...

You have to upload you pic to a website like photobucket or imgur, there's a limit on size which I believe is 640x480, then you put the address into these [/img] and done.

It must be the New Yorker in me but if I'm performing on that stage there is NO WAY I let that guy go to his pocket   . He would have being "dropped" instantly :nono: .
Glad things worked out the way it did, but as the guy was walking on stage & reaching in his pocket, I had John Lennon thoughs for a moment  .
