I have seen Pearl Jam 25 times in my life but not since 2006. I wasn't supposed to be able to attend the show last night because of money, just hard times and not able to afford much of anything outside of necessities which will happen in a down economy and having 3 kids. But my sister owed me money and wanted to get us tickets to celebrate our 10 year anniversary which was on Thursday. My wife has seen PJ 11 times since we got married and was disappointed when we realized we couldn't go to the show. So I took my wife to the show without ever telling her where we were going until she saw the flashing street sign at the venue flash "Eddie Vedder." She has seen Pearl Jam 11 times. One of the very few songs I nor her have heard was our wedding song.
Wouldn't you know Ed opened with Throw Your Arms Around Me. So I surprised my wife and Ed surprised us! Great show, and with the exception of a couple of idiots, it was a great crowd too.
The night was absolutely amazing, but Chan was the highlight of my decade! I absolutely adore her to pieces and I already had the suspicion she would be there tonight cause she tweeted earlier yesterday but somewhat cryptic so wasn't holding my breath and when she came out I didn't know what to do with myself, I felt like screaming, jumping and crying all at the same time.
What a wonderful night!!

Awesome, awesome show. Of course there will always be idiots but I thought Ed handled the situation very well. Highlights for me were Throw Your Arms Around Me, I Am Mine, Rockin In the Free World, and Can't Hide Your Love Away. I'm really hoping for Man of the Hour and Lukin to tonight. After the show we got to hang with some cool people after the show at a bar a couple blocks down for an hour or so and then went back to the bus. Ed came out around 1am. He would sign anything or take any pictures, but I got to shake his hand and thank him. It was awesome. Can't wait for night two tonight. Glen was incredible too. Big fan of his, so last night was just incredible.

If we thought the crowd was bad last night, wait til tonight....non fan club show means more tickets available for the "big event" South Florida crowd. You know- the ones that will be texting throughout and taking pictures and yelling "Evenflow". Can't wait.
Having said that, it was still an awesome show. Ed was great as usual.
One last thing about the crowd. A lot of the fault at all the shows lies with the venue's security/ushers.
Last weekend in Jacksonville, those ushers were there as soon as someone took out their phone telling them to put it away. Last night, the ushers didn't say a word to anyone that was taking pictures, texting, facebooking (new word!), etc...

I was very disappointed at the lack of crack down on phones being brought out (and held up I may add) and the amount of people taking pictures, the flashes were very annoying.

Great show last nite!
I think I enjoyed Tuesday nites show a little bit more but Cat Power coming on stage was an added treat last nite..Theres never any disappointment in any of Eds shows..
The venue experience was much better than Bob Carr in Orlando tuesday where I had the mashed potato guy in the row behind me ..along with all the other distractions....
This venue didn't let people bring aluminum bottles into the show which was a lot better than all the clanging I heard at BC....I am still amazed and disgusted with the way people acted at both shows..with no respect for
Ed, the performer or the people around them. Last nite I had a girl in front of me checking her email during the whole show..but not nearly as many people getting up thru out the show like at BC..
I don't know..maybe its me and I'm just getting old ..lol
Going to try and make tonites show too..Its hard knowing he's in town and not going to see him..

PLEASE SOMEONE - How was "Reason to Believe?" I LOVE Nebraska - I saw Ed play Open All Night in San Diego (7/5/11) - it was mind blowingly fantastical - funny, I told my wife and another excited fan that night :If he ever plays 'Reason to Believe' I hope I'm in the building...
Did he play the harmonica parts as well? In a whitewash shotgun shack an old man passes away take his body to the graveyard and over him they pray Lord won't you tell us
tell us what does it mean
Still at the end of every hard earned day people find some reason to believe
LOVE this song. Love Bruce. LOOOOVE that Eddie played YET another tune off of this incredibly under-rated album (Open All Night, Atlantic City, Johnny 99 & My Fathers House - Now this!)
So excited and jealous of all of you who got to witness it!
I thought the crowd was enthusiastic and there was a party vibe because A.) it is Fort Lauderdale and B.) It was a Friday night. That's a recipe for a great night. I thought the crowd had fun and for 95% of the show acted perfectly fine. People were on their feet and dancing in the isles for Hard Sun and RITFW. Loved the opener with Throw your Arms Around Me, amazing Bridge School version of Better Man, Sometimes, Long Road, Immortality, I could go on and on. Amazing. The only issues I saw were from a few (like 3) out of town drunk fans obviously not from South Florida (see shouts for go patriots). And the ushers could have had better control of the situation but had no impact. I agree with others on here that a few shouts here and there, while not optimal, shouldn't ruin what was one hell of a show. Thank you Eddie. Thank you Fort Lauderdale and the Broward Center. Can't wait to do it again.

Hmm, someone remind me why PJ doesn't play the South? Or the U.S.? Remind me again why they prefer to play Europe so much more than the U.S.? Oh yeah, because even a small, intimate largely acoustic show is packed with loud, drunk, entitled douchebags. Almost every fanview of this tour has had these stories. How embarrassing. So glad I wasn't at these shows. Hopefully I'll catch Ed in Europe sometime. Doubt that he'll continue to do this type of thing in the U.S. Why bother? WTF is wrong with the average American? (And please don't say, "If you don't like it, leave." That's EXACTLY what I did and why I did it.)
Do you live in the South? If not then how would you know, there have been a few times on this EV solo tour that there have been loud drunks, but that's because most of the shows are at small theaters and it's real quite because it's basically an acoustic show. If it was the whole band and there were 15,000-20,000 people at the show you wouldn't even be able to hear these A-Holes.
I am 43 and have been going to concerts since I was 11 and I have said for some time now that people have NO concert etiquette what so ever. People are used to going to loud "rock" concerts and then they go to a show like EV and they automatically think it's the same. It's NOT, I have been to enough shows to know to be respectful at this kind of show, I go to this kind of show for the music, NOT to drink an party and get F'ed up and start shouting crap.
I'm sure things happen in Europe or any other country, to generalize that everyone in the south or the US a drunk D-Bag is silly, there are jackasses EVERYWHERE Europe included, I have been to Europe and witnessed it first hand. So please spare me your holier than thou attitude. I think I know why they prefer to play Europe lately and it probably has to do with the amount of money they get paid to play over there as I'm sure the amount is more than over here.
EV also said at more than 1 of the Texas shows that he liked it here and was going to pass the word on to the band about what a great time he had in Texas.

Don't be a fool. The show was awesome. The crowd was raucous but fine. I was at both Amsrerdam shows as well as Arras and trust me, there were plenty of assholes at those shows. The only people complaining are anal retentive losers who get their panties in a bunch if someone gets a little too excited. Relax and you'll actually enjoy yourself. It's really hard not to when Ed is snging. If you missed this show the loss is yours. It was an incredible night.

The show was awesome. I could not believe how many Pearl Jam songs were performed, and I'll admit, it was much more rocking than I expected. He played PORCH. He played Unthought Known.
He played "I Am Mine" I couldn't believe it. Long Road was excellent.
"Far Behind" was excellent.
Opener was "Throw your Arms Around Me" !!!
"Edlerly Woman"
"Sometimes" !!
I know all these songs are listed in the O.P. but to me the biggest treat of the night was the song selection. Plus, that he was able to make the songs sound so good without any other instruments or percussion.
There were songs played that I haven't heard before, but there wasn't a song played that I didn't enjoy.
Overall it was just excellent, and can't wait for tonight.

It has nothing to do with the South. Some of PJ's rudest crowds were in NY and CO. It has to do with frat boys going to quiet acoustic shows. It's just the nature of the beast. They're a large part of PJ's audience. Always has been. They'll do the same thing at every rock concert that rolls into town. Happens in Europe too.
I believe 6 or 6:30 maybe. It was real easy to walk in though a little after 7. The layout of the place makes getting in and out very easy.
Pjgrungefan, there were no drunk loud people anywhere near me the whole show. It's just these 2-3 bad apples that make it seem worse.
Thanks. When does Glen start? And Vedder still come out at 915ish?

i thought the show was FANTASTIC....but whats up with the tickets for ten clubbers? I about shit when I opened my envelope and they had the words "upper orchestra"..i was stunned...all the ten clubbers were peeved...i was hoping for front row or at least first ten rows..shit, anywhere in the first teir orchestra! I would have been better off with the general public sale...and there were a lot of drunk idiots...i cant stand the crowds down here..they just suck. period! they all need to go to detroit and see how a real veteran concert crowd acts...and fuck the patriots! that guy should have been booted immediately...
anyway, i figured ten club members got some sort of priority...what up with that Kat?
its all good..like i said, it was a great show overall...
Soundgarden is up next...flyin up to detroit...they dont come here, i fly to them....end of January in Michigan..I gotta be outta my mind!

I felt the same way about my upper orchestra fanclub tickets...My seats weren't too bad, but I couldn't make out eddies face and expressions. I would of taken my chances and paid a premium to get closer to the stage had I known where my seats were...
With that said, the show was amazing and I had a really good time.
I heard several people spotted eddie on fort lauderdale beach today... pretty cool.
