Should you buy your BOSS a Christmas Gift?

I heard that since your boss obviously makes more money than you, that you should not buy your boss gifts for Xmas...I did last year but I'm not sure if I should ...what say you?

    How do other people at your workplace handle it? Some places go in together for a gift to the boss.

    At my office, we all exchange inexpensive gifts at one of those Chinese raffles at our holiday lunch. Everybody gets something, boss included, but he doesn't get anything in addition.

    Yeah depends on the culture of your workplace. I personally do not buy my boss a gift and to be honest I wish she wouldn't get me anything either. A card imo is enough.
