when it comes to be beer there is. yuck.

You cannot have tried Elysian Breweries Night Owl Pumpkin Ale this year. It was delish!

I had at least one Pumpkin Ale this year that tasted like it was made with Budweiser broth - blech! Elysian, however, is a solid pick for just about any kind of brew.

I'm going to miss my mom's pumpkin pie more than I'll miss her this year. She's recently moved from WA state to Louisiana. I'm tempted to ask her to whip one out in my 10 sq ft kitchen when she visits for Christmas, but it may be easier to have her make one while home and have it shipped. Store bought just isn't the same.

My entire family was rather cautious when I told them I was making pumpkin pie shakes ... my mother was particularly mortified when I explained I would blend up her pie. However, they all got on board after a taste, and everyone loved it! (Except my mother, who I think was still a bit upset at me for "ruining" her pie ... :fp: )

Thanks for the great idea!
