Show 2

01. Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town
02. Brain Damage-(Waters)
03. Trouble-(Yusuf Islam)
04. Can’t Keep
05. Sleeping By Myself
06. Without You
07. Goodbye

(The oceans sounds for “Light Today” on Ed’s tape machine aren’t in the monitors so Ed talks to the audience while the technical issue gets sorted out)

08. Light Today

(Ed talks about the Halloween costumes from the night before. He mentions ‘Axel & Slash’ sitting in the second row and how it is nice that they were getting along. He also talks about how nice the theater is and the idea that someone is laughing their ass off because he is playing in the “Pearl Theater”. He also talks about The West Memphis Three and thanks the audience for the support in getting them released. He says he is very happy to say that Jason Baldwin is in the audience tonight and ask him to stand up. He then dedicates the next song to Jason.)

09. I Am Mine
10. Driftin’ (Ed makes a mistake and stops playing and asks himself “How did I fuck that one up?” He starts the next verse a little more slowly then works himself back up to tempo and volume.)

(Ed mentions that he saw a picture of Mitt Romney helping out after Hurricane Sandy. He comments that in the photograph of Mitt lifting a case of water. Ed says because of the awkward stance and where his hands are on the case it looks like it is the first time Romney ever lifted anything.)

11. Just Breathe

(Ed talks how “just breathe” is about the loving support of his wife in raising his family and more. He also mentions the excellent version of the song that Willie Nelson does. Ed listened to Willie’s version over and over and now Ed almost can’t sing it without doing Willie’s version. He then does a quick version imitating Willie. Ed says “it’s his song now and I am glad he took it. Now let’s go into the wild.”)

12. Setting Forth

(Ed tells a story about river rafting with Sean Penn and friends after completing the film “Into The Wild”. He relates a story about how after the trip they were at Lake Meade having dinner and the first song they heard when they went into the restaurant was the same song that is playing in the film when the character Chris is at Lake Meade.)

13. Guaranteed
14. Long Nights
15. Rise
16. Good Woman-(Chan Marshall)
17. Betterman w/ Boom Gasper (Boom plays Ed’s pump organ.)

(Ed says that Boom has been in the band for over half the time the band has existed and it is great having him. “It changed the band. “He is our ‘big man’ like Clarence.” He talks a little about Proposition 37 and it being an election year. He talks about political ads and makes a sarcastic comment about how he will be glad when they are over so he can get back to watching “honey boo boo”, hoping that the girl doesn’t eat genetically modified corn. He goes on to say how much the political ads are going on for “full on fucking lies”. He also goes on a long, angry, humorous and scatological rant about Michael Brown criticizing Obama for acting too quickly after Hurricane Sandy.

18. Unthought Known
19. Porch

Encore Break

(Ed talks about a cause that he recently got involved with. It is help people with Epidermolysis Bullosa. He suggests searching the site HealEB (http://healeb.org/) and seeing if anyone can donate to their cause. Someone in the audience gives Ed $100. As Ed discusses the disease someone offers to donate $5000 if Ed will play “Black”. He tells the person to stick around because although he doesn’t know how to play the song he is going to try and figure out a way. A lot of people in the audience start shouting that they have money to donate as well. An emotional and visibly moved Eddie starts the next song and tells the person who offered the money to stick around because he will have something for them. He also says that his wife and the people at the charity will be happy and that he has never had an audience react like the audience tonight has. He also mentions Ross & Melissa who won an auction to be at the show)

20. Wishlist
21. I Am A Patriot-(Steve Van Zandt)

(Ed invites Glen out to play with him and compliments on how great the audience is tonight saying that he is on the receiving end of their kindness)

22. Society w/Glen Hansard-(Hannan)
23. Sleepless Nights w/ Glen Hansard-(Boudleaux Bryant, Felice Bryant) {Busker style-no mics or PA
24. Falling Slowly w/ Glen Hansard-(Hansard, Irglova)

(Ed introduces Natalie Maines and how instrumental she was in getting the West Memphis Three released and notes that the case may get re-opened)
25. Tonight You Belong To Me w/ Natalie Maines-(Rose, David)
26. Golden State w/Natalie Maines-(John Doe)

(Ed has Boom come out again. He says “I am just making this up”)

27. Black w/ Boom Gasper (Boom plays Ed’s pump organ. The first attempt is pretty shaky and doesn’t get very far. Ed makes some adjustments and starts over much stronger. The crowd helps by singing along)

Encore Break 2

(Ed thanks the crowd again and says that they are very trusting because someone gave him $5000 in cash for playing “Black”. $5000 in cash in VEGAS!)

I agree that on the one hand it is nice to keep it special for those in attendance but what if it was released as download only for $1.99 (for example) and the proceeds were added to the original $5k?

Wife and my 5 year old daughter (with earmuffs). I will be there very early, but there is a good chance my wife and kid will come late and maybe leave early. They are still debating if they are going. My kids enjoys the music but she is kinda scared when it comes to new things. My guess, I get there way to early and spend way too much and they get there about 9 PM...and my kid falls asleep by 10, but loves what she sees!!!!

I wish I could get her to go early, cutest kid in the world. We'd be moved up for sure...and she would stay awake if we were close...I'm in the 2nd row of the mez (lower balc) in Fort Lauderdale Dec 1st.

I heard about Black being played last night and I MUST hear that.

I did NOT know about the donation(s) though. It just goes to show once again how AMAZING and special Pearl Jam fans are! Huge kudo's to all who donated last night. You make me PROUD to be a fan of both Eddie Vedder AND Pearl Jam!

Guys......there is no words that can describe this show last night....none. I am speechless......just incredible. Never again will that happen seeing Ed play Black solo with Boom. Ed was visibly emotional several times during this show, especially for this song. He broke down and cried twice during the show because of the audience's reaction. It was something truly truly special.....Black......I can't describe the feeling in that room when everyone singing along. You should've seen Ed's face.

I'm very fortunate to have been at this show. Myself and several others were talking after the show how special this was, and you just knew how special it was to Ed.

This show truly deserves to be graced with a bootleg. Put this on vinyl because it was that good.

I am very moved just writing this. I can't really find any words to put the significance of this show into retrrospect right now. Wow.

Just a lot of great people at these shows for Vegas. Great fucking times and thanks for everything.
