Finally got around to seeing the 2018 version of Suspiria. Holy shit this was one of the best horror films of the year. Maybe the best. Much more fleshed out and built upon compared to Argentos 77 classic.
If you never saw the original I recommend seeing that first as this one will be hard to keep track of whats going on without knowing some things. It's still not easy. Its almost a completely different movie. And that ENDING! Crazier than Hereditiarys ending by a mile.
Tilda Swinton and Dakota Johnson were fantastic in this, with Swinton playing 3 different roles.
I hope they continue the trilogy of the Three Mothers going  forward.
And the soundtrack score by Thom Yorke was fantastic. Did a great job separating from Goblins iconic score from the original Suspiria film.
The Director did a great job. Looking forward to more of his work in the future.
My only complaint would be the long stretches of dialogue in German without subtitles that leave you guessing as to what is being conveyed on screen.

Always a treat to see those 70s 80s movies on the big screen.
Probably the second best film in that series.

I think it's 35. They usually do 35 when they show the cult/horror films there.

    not sure this is horror
After reading up on the band Mayhem, this trailer looks way too clean.

The worst of times..they don't phase me,

I was not happy at all when I first learned of this remake.  Suspiria is one of my favorite horror films and I saw no point in a remake.  I've still never seen Gus Van Sant's remake of Psycho.
Do you think I would enjoy this version or will it just annoy me?

Definitely watch it. There isnt much the same between the two movies except the background of the school/witch coven/Mothers angle. Outside of that its a completely different movie with a completely different feel/look to it.
