Hey! There you are again!! But it's not that nice to take me out of context!! I was talking about the Barcelona show, and here I am, in the Madrid forum. And I wasn't even at the Madrid show!! Aren't you being a little childish about this?? It was just a comment based on my personal experience. It meant no offense. And yet here you are making a big deal aout it. Got somethin' to hide?? Cheers!!

Mmmmmmmm... I don't know about that. I've met many, many, many worst than me. It will do you no harm to open your mind a little and accept other people's opinion. I meant no offense with that comment, it was just my point of view according to my personal experience. Feel free to tell me you didn't like it but don't expect me to be offended by your remark because I'm waaaaay beyond...
    Cheers!

Jajaja, you seem to be very far from being "waaaaay beyond" anything, as you seem more worried in giving your opinion about the spanish people than talking about PJ music in the show. Anyway, if it's like that, I don't know why you go to concerts here in Spain, and if you happen to live here, then, my friend, I'm very sorry for you... Sé feliz!!!
And, as far as I'm concerned, this discussion is finished, I prefer to concentrate on reading opinions about music.

I'm sorry, I didn't give my opinion on PJ's music because, as always, it was amazingly brilliant, and there is nothing I could possibly add. I think this is getting stupid. If you're not mature enough to understand that I meant no offense with my comment, then, there's nothing else I can do. I love Spanish people, they have a lot of beautiful and interesting things. They might not be THE MOST effusive audience, but that doesn't make them better or worst. Just different. If you cannot accept 'different' then you are the one with a problem, my friend, not me... And you're right, this conversation IS over, it's too childish... SI SOY FELIZ!! Te quiero!!!

  • Oooh Floyd tag on Daughter! Nice :D

    God damn right that's nice!!:
I was so jealous to see that PJ (my absolute nr 1 band at the age of 14 - which was in 1992) plays 'brick' from PF (my absolute nr 1 band at this time)...
No misunderstandings please: still a huge fan of PJ and always have been, but I'm still kind of discovering PF's fantastic albums - since a year of three - and totally overwhelmed by their brilliance...

  • Pedazo de concierto, oiga. Sin ganas que tenía.

Mmm... Maybe the better thing you can do is to watch it by tourself in youtube, and then speak about the spanish audience. I´ve read about a lot of bands talking about the spanish audience, and all of them say the same thing, spanish audience is effusive and a bit cracy. Ask to Radiohead in Las ventas last year, or to Iggy in Dr. Music ´98... lol.

By my way, i got a wonderfull night, thanks to Pearl Jam and thanks to my friends, all of them made that night unforgettable.

  • I wasn´t at the show but I have 5 friends that flew from Rio de Janeiro (Brasil) to Europe to go to 6 shows and Madrid was their 3rd. show.

One of them got very lucky and picked up Eddie´s green jacket :-) Yeah, that green jacket he´s used for a long time... with all the bottons on it!!!!!!!

I´m happy for her and can´t wait for them to come back!!!

    She´s so damned lucky!!!!!
...We´re faithful, we all believe, we all believe...
  • This was a savage fucking gig. They blew the place apart. Doubt that Eddie was going to jump into the crowd at one stage! Way better than the Dublin gig. The atmosphere was incredible. The spaniards were really up for it and having blokes going around with beer kegs on their backs serving beer, now that was a nice touch
  • My first PJ gig, and as such, I kept thinking that they were playing just for me.

Seeing the other gigs on this tour, I am so glad that Madrid was where we chose to go ... great venue, crazy fans, of all kinds ...

If I had picked the setlist, this would have been about it ... kept thinking towards the end, well they won't play "x" and are surely going to not play it now ... and then they played it ... and then the next ... this happened with Black, Alive, RITFW, Yellow Ledbetter ... and then they played Little Wing.

At the end, everyone - band, audience - had given everything. Uplifted, nothing left to give.

Play as if it's your last gig. Dance like it's your last gig.

    Nick, your Dad says thanks.

No problem! It was the best thing I've ever seen! Shame I got ill from going INSANE for 2 hours to the best band I'll ever see. That and Beck in one week was just savage.

What a band. Listened to the boot again t'other day and Severed Hand just brings back some special memories. I think, for some reason, Grievance was my highlight of the night, one of the more obscure songs I'd been hoping for that I got.

    Ofc, Alive was exceptional :D
Too many cowboys, not enough indians, so just go ape shit!

I may be boring but at least I'm not Jack fucking Johnson.

TV is such shit; let's go outside and ride bicycles, right now!
