You have proof that he is a tax cheat?

    Got proof that he isn't?

You know what my "proof" is? we haven't seen any of his tax records before 2009. And that's when the Amnesty was given to Americans who were hiding money in foreign accounts and not paying taxes on it. And if he released his taxes before that, we'd see proof of it.

I gotta tell ya, Prince, that this is the same damn argument conspiracy theorists used about Obama not being American. Romney not releasing his tax records does not mean he is automatically a cheat, just like Obama not showing his birth certificate to the world didn't make him a Kenyan.

I get a kick out of this stuff  I've decided whome I'll vote for but the back and forth argument is really not worth the time it takes to post my opinion my mind is made up at this point, all the back and forth half baked arguments for both sides has become a simple tit for tat with no hard proof on either side so I ask myself if Romney was a dem and Obama was a repubican would we have the same debate in a reverse roll ?

if Obama wins this election how will my life change ? if Romney wins how will my life change ?...I guess we'll find that out in November and the following four years, we can all speculate what one or the other will do but the honest answer will not be seen until that person gets into office.

Don't agree with you on that.

The president DID release a birth certificate early on... and the people who couldn't accept that a black man had won pounced on it saying they wanted the "LONG FORM" one. Then when he did release that, they insisted that it was a fake. A bit different.

(and while every presidential candidate has released his returns from 10 years back... no other president has been expected to release his "long form" birth certificate. Different rules for black men?)

Romney has never released a tax return from before 2009.

Now, you're right.. not releasing tax returns doesn't necessarily make him a cheat... although he insisted that he never paid less than 13% and when there was closer scrutiny, it was clear that he had intentionally left out deductions on his 2011 return to keep the number that high (and those amendments will be made after he loses the election, I'm sure).

But it DOES raise a pretty big red flag with me that someone who has foreign accounts in the Cayman Islands and Switzerland and won't release returns before 2009 when the Amnesty was granted to people using foreign tax shelters... that's a few pretty glaring clues that there's something up.

    Don't you think?

    yes

a vote for obama is a vote to perpetuate the downward spiral in our country. . . . . that is, there is little or no incentive for the millions of free loaders to ever become productive members of society. i know so many hard working people that are struggling more than people collecting government benefits. this administration supports this severely flawed system, which will lead to further generations of free loaders.

let's face it; obama was a media creation to begin with and is more concerned with being a celebrity than he is fixing the problems in this country.
I was wondering how many of the Democrats here are in social work, entertainment,
work in research, non profit, at colleges, on aid themselves.

The OP's post brings this question to mind.

Our place in life, our daily experiences have a lot to do with our choice
in this election. It is personal. We have something to lose, we think.

Someone here said something to me that truly stuck when I spoke of the role or theory
behind each party. They said it hasn't been like that for the Republicans, the true
'cause' in a very long time.
I went further and thought that can be said about the Democrats also.

Somewhere along the line the parties changed, their goodness was bought out.
Both systems are flawed if they even remain ... still alive.

I think she's trying to point to jobs that are funded or partially funded by the government. calling that "aid".

Nope I wasn't calling it aid to work with government programs etc.

just getting at our different places in life makes our choice personal.

The OP got me thinking that and I know having a small
blue collar manufacturing business this is very true for me.

hilarious to me how corporate welfare $ dwarfs the amount spent on social programs for human beings that eat sleep and breathe.

government handouts/bailouts to faceless corporations = "incentives"
government funding for human beings = "entitlements"

    Corporate subsidies $92B pr year
    Tax shelters $58B per year
Reduced Capital Gains Tax $59B per year
Carried Interest Loophole $2B per year

Bank Bailouts $700B (that can be accounted for)
$9 trillion in loans a zero, yes 0% interest

Not to mention the land and resource giveaways and the uber wasteful spending on "defense" "military" and "homeland security".

    WHO ARE THE FREELOADERS?
