    This

His record of being a diva and always being late made him a jerk. But to be late to a charity event?! That's absolutely disrespectful. Just hang it up already, Axl.

Enough of that negativity though. I guess we should be thankful because we got a taste of more Ed!

i thought GNR were actually classy for the first time in 25 years. They begged people to donate to bridgeschool all day long. Even tweeted about Eddie.

Axl was awful, I felt sorry for his band. Eddie had to come out and play two songs because the diva Axl was late of course. Watch for yourself below, it makes for a good laugh, here is the setlist.
    ‘You’re Crazy’
    ‘Used to Love Her’
    ‘Welcome to the Jungle’
    ‘Better’
    ‘Patience’
    ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’
    ‘Paradise City’

Classy? Being an hour and a half late isn't very classy. Of course he had to tweet about Ed, he was probably getting shit for being his typical douchebag self.

I just viewed Sweet Child thinking it would be Axl's best performance, and OMG, that was painful to watch. PJ fans are really lucky to love a band with all six members who take good care of themselves.

GNR was always bad live. Either Axl was out of key or Slash was too high to play.

I begged and begged and begged my dad to take me to a GNR show when I was about 8 years old. He refused saying I was much too young to be in that kind of crowd. Glad he didn't take me, would have been a bad first experience...and I have yet to see GNR, and don't plan to.

I'm not a fan anymore really, but I saw them in the Use Your Illusion era and also with Axl's new band in 2006, and both performances were incredible.

I saw them at Oakland's annual Day on the Green event (1991 ??). It ended up being the final Day on the Green. After Ice T and Metallica played, everyone grew tired of waiting on the always late Axl/GnR and they resorted to tearing up chunks of grass and aggressively throwing it everywhere.

We (four 19 year old girs all wearing flannels to reflect the new grunge era) were sitting first row bleachers and had to hide under our seats to shelter ourselves from getting hit. Just when we were about to make a run for the exit Axl finally came out on a harley davidson piano seat and eveyone mellowed out as he played piano regaae tunes. It was a fine show, but now he's clearly washed up from decades of substance abuse.

    They could have done a duet ;) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AI8NuFAETMQ

The song is held in common but the duet is usually done with one man and one woman. However, I suppose they could be forward looking and do it with two men since they're in California?!

I was just joking ;) ...I just love that song and the movie 'The Jerk'. :D
