That is it, this is the holy grail of vinyl.

Benny is 100 times easier to come by than this item, but always fetches 600-900 bucks

I imagine over time the colored PJ20 will get some hefty prices as well.

and no matter how bad I want it I know I will never be able to afford it. I know I can go on PJ collectors and look at it for free. So at least I have that.

How many of these were made anyways? It seems they pop up on eBay every few months.

    ..

Check the description. "LP IS VERY GOOD PLUS, PLAYS PERFECTLY (8 of 10)"
I don't know about you but if it play's perfectly, wouldn't it be a 10?

not if there are some light surface wear or scuffs. Plenty of my vinyl have scuffs and imperfections but still play well. I think the seller was probably trying to be as honest as possible so they wont have to deal with an unsatisfied customer.

Is that the rarest? I know the light blue Fixer...there were only 50 made.

Black Fixer -- UK Limited Edition. I think there were 5000? made.
White Fixer -- Super common and still for sale on this site
Light Blue Fixer -- Given to friends and family of band. Only 50 made. One of them in the "mystery vinyl" sale a few years ago.
Orange Fixer -- Twitter contest. Several thousand made.
    Dark Blue Fixer -- ??????????

I just find this weird that this is so expensive. It say's Monkeywrench Records / Sony Music ... but it's made / released by Amazing Kornyfone Record Label. A product "Made For Friends Of The Band." A bootleg if you like. That I don't understand. So if Jeff Ament burned 25 "copies" of PJ20 on crappy Memorex brand CDR discs to his closest friends, with just a PJ20 mark on the front cover, those copies would be worth thousands of dollars, much more then the official silver CD product?

Yep. Kinda like the Reenk Roinks. nothing different than the Ten CD everyone has except it is a burned CD with Jeff and Ed's writings on the sleeve.

I remember watching a single record from the gitd PJ20 sell on the bay. I think it sold for over a grand. It was in terrible condition and unplayable too.

I would like to know what the sealed complete set sold for. I need a good laugh.

I thought it was a Monkeywrench/sony and had The Amazing Kornyfone Record Label nostalgia on the back. Think they don't exist any more.

It is all about supply and demand

I wouldn't be surprised if those Colombian Blue vs. that have been coming up of late are fakes. Those things never came around, once every few years, now they seem to pop up monthly......

Until the Glow in the darks establish a selling price, Blue Vs. is King of Cost

    I have a question...
    ...
What do people DO with their vinyl?
I ask because mine just sit on the shelf lately. My old turntable was a butcher so I stopped playing it. There are many other priorities than to buy a new record player... although, when I bought the Home Theater Receiver, I made sure I got on with the phono jack.
It seems like lately... I don't have the time to sit around and listen to records. It is much easier for me to play the iPod through the receiver because i can just shut the whole thing down with one button and be out the door. I mean, it would be nice to just kick back and listen to records like I used to... all them years ago. Seems like the time just ain't there any more.
And wouldn't you be kind of freaked to play a 2 thousand dollar record? I would. Then again, I would never pay 2 thousand bucks for a record that would, more than likely, end up sitting on a shelf.

I play the shit out of my vinyl, no matter how much it costs. I don't see the point of buying it otherwise. If I had the money, I would gladly spend whatever I had to to get Benny Hall or something else that I don't already have to spin. I don't think I'd waste money on vinyl that I CAN listen to already, and just spend a pile of money because the fucking thing glows in the dark. But to each their own! I just don't quite understand buying vinyl if you're not going to play it. Where does the passion for the format come from if not from how awesome it sounds when you play it, and/or from the ritual of taking it out of the jacket without touching the playing surface, and placing it on the turntable and gently dropping the needle... sigh.

As for you Cosmo, that's different if you just have a collection that you used to play but don't have time to listen to anymore... Although that's too bad - the passion for spinning vinyl feels great. :)

I use to ask this same question before I owned a turntable and simply sort of collected PJ vinyl. There's a whole cool experience thing opening the vinyl and listening to it; just more fun if you have the time.

And I understand the high prices for the collectible items as they are rarities and people love to own rarities as it makes it more special. I just wish they would make more PJ stuff available just for listening purposes only kind of thing.
