I watch a lot of tv shows, I am just trying to find something I didnt see before.
I am thinking about Doctor Who/Battlestar Galactica/ or Oz. These are a few shows I've heard a lot of buzz about but dont know which one to get into. Any recommendations?

Oz was super awesome as was Battlestar Galactica. Six Feet Under was also a great show, and I maintain that it had the best series finale I've ever seen on any show.

Spartacus was really amazing too, I only saw the first season but I think I watched the whole thing in like 2 days, I was obsessed  It's like a mixture of Gladiator and 300, if you are into those movies.

From your list I've seen two of the three, so I can recommend both Oz and Battlestar.

    The League
I've only seen the first two seasons. Has the show maintained the level of quality it established early on?

I think it has, the 4th season just started and I thought the 3rd season was great. Definitely worth checking out in my opinion.

Six Feet Under has to be one of my TOP favorites.
Of the shows that are on now.... Parenthood and Modern Family are great.

I've not watched Doctor Who, but i'm probably going to run through the 2005 and up shows soon. If you end up watchign it i'll be interested to hear yoru thoughts as i've heard its good.

If you like Science Fiction the Battlestar Galactica is a must. It is tremendous for that genre.

In that vein have you watched Firefly? if not jump on that one season and it was cut (fox aired the shows out of order and left some out so go figure people did not get into it) but there was so much love for it they got money to make a movie to wrap up plot lines. Joss Whedon at his best a western in space.

How about HBO's Game of Thrones? THat one is pretty top notch.

I would also highly recomend these as others have (in order of how i like them):
    The Wire
    Breaking Bad
    Homeland
    Mad Men
    Dexter
    Charlotte 00
    Charlotte 03
    Asheville 04
    Atlanta 12
    Greenville 16, Columbia 16
    Seattle 18
    Nashville 22
