was it insanity for Clint? not in my opinion, was is for Biden? yeah like :wtf: is he doing?

Again why is my vote something for you guys to care about?
I am undecided and I have explained why.
I certainly know how others are voting here and who is not voting at all
    but ya know....
    I don't really care.

being a candidate or a hollywood celebrity is irrelevant. you chastised people for calling clint crazy, but you are doing just that here to Joe.

no one cares about how you vote. your credibility on the forums takes a hit when you are obviously not as independent as you say you are. vote how you wish, but if you wish to talk about how you are leaning/not leaning, expect people to call out inconsistencies in posts.

Actually I stuck up for Clint is all. I thought people were being very mean to him and
missing the humor in his skit .... it was entertainment....
    not a national debate :fp:

Biden has no excuse for his ridiculous behavior as the second in command of our country.
He is embarrassing and nope no sympathy for his rude behavior.

And if it were Ryan or Ronmey being as rudely immature and ridiculous as Biden was
    I'd say it....
    that is independent.

What really takes a hit on credibility on the board is the vengefulness, discrimination,
forejudgment, bias, preconceived opinion ... I could go on ;)

I was one of the few that thought Clint's speech was funny. All I'm pointing out to you is that you called people out for calling one human crazy, and here you are doing the same thing to another human. Context is irrelevant.

People had a field day with Clint because he was having fun and being entertaining...at the national convention which is kind of a serious forum so I'm not seeing too much of a difference. One guy tells the prez to go fuck himself and its funny... The other laughs and rolls his eyes at lies being told and its disrespectful and tacky...whatever you say.

I see a huge difference. This was a debate between two parties
    seeking to run our country.
That is serious stuff.A debate to share knowledge not make fun.
I have a problem with our VP's attitude. He was over the top...
I kept picturing him in important meetings with heads of state.
How can he be taken seriously?

Now Clint, he was attempting a skit that made fun of Obama. He actually looked less
ridiculous because that is all it was. His role was not to inform, share policy, but to show his
support for Romney while hitting Obama. He succeeded but many didn't want to get it.
    It was too different.

All Biden succeeded in was looking silly. His ranting, his uncontrollable laughing,
arm waving, dumb faces, bewildered looks... was that when Ryan stumped him?

To compare being a young nervous politician first time on stage like this to a senior and

I saw no aggression, blues like to paint it like that.
I saw an insecure man behaving rudely to his opponent.
Distracting from his opponent with a split screen of stupid behavior.
Now one could forgive him if did that once or twice, it would be ok
but his composure was none existent through out,
he was a joke and the young unexperienced man appeared reasonable, confident,
    polite ...a good debater.

    Yeah Cheney ...

Good for you that you won't forget and from one tv debate you have figured out how he's truly like, well again good for you. He resides in the Naval Observatory not the White House and he doesn't lead this nation the President does, no one really thinks of the VP as leading this nation, the closest he gets to anything by leading this nation is standing next to the President.

this is a pattern. she thinks she can gauge someone's personality by one comment, one debate, one meeting. and she, and others, seem to put way too much stock in these debates. why? because they think that a debate is a real representation of the candidates and their policies. it's not. it's lazy. politicians know that most people don't research on their own, which is why they can lie during these debates and get away with it, because the people who watch them take them at their word.

some people have a quicker wit than others, which makes for a great debater/speaker (which usually included Obama), but not necessarily a more intelligent person or better president.

:nono: you told me to get over myself. more condescention from you, which is a shock.

normally i would not even waste my time to replying, but i just have to reply to this.

you say are one of the most honest posters on here??? i and many others think you are being disingenuous when you say that you are undecided. i think that you are looking for any reason whatsoever to justify voting for ryan and romney. i have seen you bash obama and now biden numerous times on these forums in ways that would make it seem inconceivable that you would even be remotely considering giving them "another four".

i would think that someone who is on here as often as you are, who apparently reads all of these threads on here everyday, and posts in all of said threads would have an idea of how they are voting.. you are either with obama or you are with romney. there has never been a more stark difference in any campaign that i have ever followed. you either want more moderate supreme court nominees that you would get from obama, or you want more scalia types that you would get from romney. you are either hot or cold, not lukewarm. what is to decide????

i do not understand undecided voters. i never will. do they like the attention of both candidates pandering to them? or is it the old "sheep" theory? people want to vote for a winner and they do not want to vote for the loser, or they wait until someone is running away with the election and they will vote for them to vote for the winner. just like how sheep flock together, undecideds flock to the side where the most voters are going.

frankly i don't care how they vote. chances are, if they do not know who they are voting for this late in the game that are low information voters, or they do not really care who wins. and no, i do not know what it is like to be torn. i know the issues and i know who would be better for the country. that's it. i will not allow myself to be put into a postion where i am torn. that is why i do my due dilligence before entering any voting booth.

biden went into this debate to say things that obama could not say. he was there to do the dirty work of the president. and biden did a fantastic job of hammering ryan and romney on most topics. and contrary to popular belief, the vice presidency is actually pretty important. the vice president is the deciding vote if the senate is tied 50-50. i know who i trust to make those deciding votes and who i don't trust to make those votes.

Non american press are generally describing these debates as 'american theatrics - poor script and no substance. Audience being drawn in for the wrong reasons.' (As again said this morning..)

Agree that not much of substance is said during these debates - by either party. Judging policies (and potentially 'choosing' the candidate which will get one's vote) on the 'performer' being grumpy or smiley or rude or tired is just so baseless..... Researching policies, studying them, understanding them and their impact looking at the whole picture - that's what needs to be done. Not watching TV and deciding someone is crazy, rude or nice during this 'performance' and they would make a good/bad president/vice president, whatever crap comes out of their mouth during the show.

yes and how many times did I say 2nd in command?
Saw a good one in the media ... 'after Biden's debate we better pray for Obama's good health'
    too true.

You seem to pretty much always respond to me.

Have you also heard my words about the praise for our President?
Have you heard that I believe our Presidents need
more than four to get the job done?
That I wonder about rocking the boat now with an administration change?

Well I'm glad you are honest and say you do not understand Independent voters.
We are the middle of the road with mixed beliefs that fit neither party,
we are without bias for either side.
Our voting record is neither red nor blue. Funny I think the people who follow
the color are the sheep. Its those damn red and blue glasses.
Vote for the winner really? thats funny cause as an Independent I have not always been so lucky,
have you as a true blue baaaa?

Have you ever voted for a Republican? You say you know what is better for the country
is that always a blue, or most always blue?
So then it has nothing to do with being informed it has to do with party lines.
So try not to act superior to those who are actually unbiased towards both parties.

Biden was a rude jerk. The split screen showed tactics of a desperate man who
couldn't rely on good basic information to try to conquer his opponent.
His tactic was to distract ...
    hmmmm
come to think of it is that what the White House has done about
    our most recent tragedy?

Yes this does sound like something you would think. It runs so much deeper than that.
It speaks to basic character, motives, tactics which then are carried over into policies.
Some people are really fine with being rude and disrespectful. Others feel that
we should treat each other with common courtesy, this is a sign of personal strength.

The split screen of Biden reeked with a strategy that was underhanded,
below the belt with the precise plan to distract the American people from Ryan's responses.
It spoke volumes to the type of man Biden is... cowardly.

    exactly...

nobody is fooled. i don't care who you vote for, just be up front about it and don't feign impartiality.
Why would I care to fool you or anybody else?
get over yourself, I'm one of the most open honest people here.
I'm not sure why you have a problem understanding
perhaps because you are a blue no matter what they do.
So you can not envision being torn over what I have explained repeatedly to you.
Maybe you just can not see me voting for the same guy as you,
    but I have.
My mind is not made up, no where near. I don't think I'm alone
I think this is a tough decision for many Independents because we like
our President and are not 100% sure he does not deserve four more.

why do you keep saying this to people? is it because you have no intelligent retort to them?
notice the previous line ...Why would I care to fool you or anybody else?

Actually what the phrase 'get over yourself' means is that the other person
    is making themselves more important
to the one saying the phrase then they are.

Why on earth would I want to fool Gimmie or you
and why on earth do you and he keep insinuating I'm lying?
oh wait I know why ...
    transparent ... it gets old.

Maybe Democrats just toss around the lying thing for just about everything ;)
I've been wondering about this, seems a a repetitive theme.

Would you say our President lies? Or is that exclusive to the party you do not favor?

I can't believe people are debating this...when they could be discussing real issues...like how much water Paul Ryan drank during the debate and whether that's an indication he has uromysitisis poisoning :? This is what it's come down to? I fear for us all.

Non american press are generally describing these debates as 'american theatrics - poor script and no substance. Audience being drawn in for the wrong reasons.' (As again said this morning..)

That's probably a good description. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that anyone who votes based on whether the VP interrupted or the other VP candidate drank too much water...is not taking the political issues of the campaign seriously or voting on anything that matters.

I doubt anyone cares how much water the nervous young man drank but there may be some
who don't want an ass in office ;)

that was another one I heard ...

So I heard the debate tonight will be an empathy sympathy fest,
the candidates answering town hall type questions.
    A no brainer?????
Also that the commentator has strict rules that she might not want to adhere to,
being a savvy journalist. That could prove interesting as long as she is without bias.

If people don't want an ass in office, they better vote for my write-in candidates, 'cause you'd be hard pressed to find a politician that's not an ass.
