Three houses down had two Romney signs.....went for a walk today and noticed he added a Fire Obama sign. Never saw this one before.

All Obama signs in Philly and I might add in a very wealthy white area. Haven't seen one Romney sign.

Anyone in Ohio have updates on signs? It all comes down to them.
  • In the rural country areas... more Robme signs....Youngstown...boardman...autintown..OBAMA... probably due to the fact that obama saved general motors and most importantly....this whole state.

Tangent - but have you ever seen anyone actually do this? It's a rarity that I've literally slapped my knee (thank you, Tosh.0).

(and those who claim to have spit coffee all over their monitor or keyboard, I call bullshit)

I did this ONCE...while in college at my apartment we ALL gathered in my kitchen smoking and a friend was rocking on one of my chairs. Before I could finish the sentence to NOT to rock in that chair....in what seemed like SUPER slow motion he went straight down flattening the chair in explosive pieces. Needless to say ALL 8 of us ran out of the apt in all directions laughing so hard I cried and had stomach cramps rolling in grass outside.

Having no money what we smoked seemed like it was more like oreagno but STILL we laughed like forever. :D

Well...throw weed into the mix and of course ;)

    Nothing like a good belly-aching laugh...even better, tears-inducing. I've just never spit!

First I want to say that I have seen many Obama/Biden signs where I live, although signs for local races and our U.S. Senate race are far more common than signs for Presidential candidates.

Now here's a few anti-Obama/pro-Romney signs that are about a mile from my house:

    racist-barack-obama-billboards.jpg

    obama_billboard_girl_middle_finger_jerk.jpg

These signs are in front of a business in Hanson, MA called Sullivans Inc, which is a motorcycle accessories distributor. The signs have been up since August, maybe July. Many in the area have asked for these offensive signs to be taken down, but the owner has instead quadrupled the number of signs. I drove by the place last week... there was a wall of signs around his property, which is located at a bend on Route 27. A new sign shows a Monica Lewinsky lookalike with the words "I'm voting Republican... The Democrats left a bad taste in my mouth."

But it actually has gotten worse since last week. Just today, a friend of mine who lives in Hanson posted on Facebook this picture of a sign that he took in front of Sullivans Inc today:

    worst-hanson-anti-obama-sign.jpg

I shouldn't have to explain how disgusting all of these signs are. So I won't.

I would love to talk to the people who put up signs like that. Better yet, they should be invited to the White House to have a beer with Obama. Even better! they should be given a forum on cable news or their own TV special. Then, we can all tune in to see how intelligent and informed they are.

These signs make me hate people just a little bit. WTF? :? And can someone please explain wtf an inheritance is? Is that some sort of handout given to the other 53%, or just one of the reasons I'm not voting for Romney?

Anyway...I saw an Obama bumper sticker today...haven't seen many signs this election year at all

I believe what they are implying is the tax on inheritance? I too believe there should be no death tax it is double taxing. Why if I have savings in a bank account on money I paid tax on already, should it be taxed when I die and leave it to my daughters? I do believe the signs to be dispicable.

I understand...but there is a whole segment of the population who will never receive an inheritance...and it's money that one receives without working for it...like a handout. I just found that sign more of an example of the haves having not a clue. The last sign is what I find really offensive.

Why should tax be paid on the money again. It already has been paid when it was earned. No matter how much the inheritence is $1000 or $10000000 it is wrong.

Because you're giving it to another person. That means it's income of THEIRS now.

Just hope nobody leaves you a million dollars or more and you'll be just fine.

As one of the 47% I will never be receiving an inheritance. I'm just saying that I..and a lot of people...can't relate to that little girl in the 2nd sign. Allowance? Inheritance? Must be nice.

I don't know what percentage group I fall into...but I will say that receiving several checks after my father died wasn't nice at all - it made me cry in fact, broke my heart that it was representative of all he worked so hard for, to pass something on beyond the intangible to his daughters. To me, it was a gift from him. And yes, I paid a shitload of taxes on it.

No...I'm sure the loss and any reminder of the loss is just as painful regardless of a family's financial status. I didn't mean to imply it would be any less valid in my statement and I apologize if it reads that way or comes off as flippant in that regard. I am deeply sorry for your loss Hedonist. Thanks, CBG - sometimes dismissive, glib remarks (not just here) irritate me; they don't take enough into account about what is being said - and ironically, many of the folks making those comments would appreciate the same consideration...if that makes sense.

At any rate, I know you have a good heart and appreciate your comments up there :)

You only get taxed if it is 1 million dollars or more, right?
How many people do any of us know who are getting 1 million dollars from a relative?

If the top 2% didn't receive all of the income over the past 3 decades (wait for the trickle down...wait...), we would all be getting more. Even though, 1 million would be an amount some of us couldn't fathom.
