(CNN) -- A Texas mother of five is expected to be sentenced Tuesday after admitting to gluing her 2-year-old daughter to a wall and beating her over potty training.

    Years ago a friend who'd had a long career in Child Protective Services told me that most physical abuse of children revolves around potty training or feeding. Parents with little knowledge of child development have unrealistic expectations of how their children should behave, even as infants.

    What's scary (among other things) is that this wasn't the woman's first child. Children are not toys you can bat around when you're angry. Taking out your frustration on a helpless child is horrible.

    Because such an opinion is uncultured, unrefined, and unenlightened. Disregard the heinous nature of the crime. It is believed the scumbag, deviant mutant is a person too and is likely someone that needs at least a mild form of compassion.     A 2 year old no less. I love the lawyers that get completely filthy representing losers such as these. Do they actually believe the arguments they put forth? I golfed with a lawyer (never again) who was defending a woman who burned her house down with her children in it. I asked how he got clean at night. He responded, "Hey. You'd be surprised. She's actually not that bad!" Yah. You're right. I should get to know her before judging her. I mean, outside of killing her kids, she's probably really nice! Geezuz, man.

    it's funny how the Train swings from pro life to kill the bitch...welll not funny at all but interseting to see how emotions can move human direction and choices from case to case, a murderer on death row gets a pass from some here on the train "life w/out parole" and every excuse to back up that choice and money useally playes a part in it(cheaper to keep them locked up) then there are crimes aginst children...that usally ends in "kill the nasty vermin"...

    I'm not saying who is right or wrong just pointing out the human factor in these situations...maybe it's not "guns" or "state sanctioned revenge" that kill or want to kill these people maybe it's good old fashioned human emotion that seems to change from case to case, just my thought on it.

    Who gets to decide these things, like who gets sterilized? How many kids is too many? How unfit is someone as a parent? There are always cases like this one, where it's so heinous that the consequences should seem obvious, but where is the line drawn? Who sets the criteria? Who decides?

    Don't get me wrong, I think this woman should be punished severely. I don't particularly think she deserves to see her children grow up. Her mother wants the woman to get probation, because she's her mom and because she needs help to support the 5 grandkids she now has custody of.

    Which leads us to a whole other area. How does this grandmother take on the burden of raising 5 small kids? Texas has some pretty weird requirements when it comes to public assistance for grandparents raising grandchildren. The other option for the kids is foster care, which is less than desirable. But I guess that's another thread.
