Come on Gorge weekend! I look forward to one great show here every concert season, last year we got Sabbath, it was awesome. A 2 night gorge weekend would be such a great weekend. That venue keeps getting better every year.

Will you come to see Petty at the Gorge with me this summer then? It's on my birthday!
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
The THREAD that just won't DIE!! Let's hope this is THE YEAR it happens!! :-bd
I'd love this! Great reason to travel to a beautiful place I've never seen!
It's the MOST beautiful concert venue I've ever seen!!! Was lucky enough to see 2 DMB shows there in the late 90's, but moved from the Seattle area before PJ played there in '05 & '06!! REALLY would love to see my favorite band in my favorite outdoor venue!!

Yes PJ should play at the Gorge - it's the most beautiful venue in the country. So blessed DMB plays it 3 nights in a row every year. Hopefully PJ can do a 2 or 3 night stand there - I know I would go.

I'd like to see them play the Gorge again. I was kind of hoping they would of done it this past centre. When they opted to play only a single show in Seattle for the '13 tour I assumed they had a good reason for it (like planning a Summer show at the Gorge), but I was wrong.
I saw Tom Petty at the Gorge this past summer which was pretty good, but PJ there again would be awesome.
Then again I'm pretty much for any show that takes within a few hundred miles of where I live
Thirty Something hour road trip from my place to the Gorge, with all the sites in between.....I have to see that place in person at least one time before I die !

I'm there !!!
But, I'll probably fly back )
That's an insane drive. The longest drive I ever did to the Gorge was in '06. I ended up moving from Victoria to Edmonton a few weeks before the Gorge shows. Rather than eat the tickets we drove to see them. I think it was something like a 15 hour drive. Drove from Edmonton to Calgary to SE B.C. to Idaho, then East on the I90 through Washington to the Gorge. It was a pretty sweet drive. Maybe 15 hours total. We split it up on the way there (started driving after work and got into Sandpoint Idaho pretty late). We did it in a day on the way back.
30 hours would be brutal Unless you had some serious time off the break up the drive in see stuff on the way there.

Ya, it's just a thought at this point and I'm thinking 2 weeks of vacation would definitely be needed to break it up and be able to stop and stay at a few places on the way. But it is a really far drive ! 15 hours is about the longest drive I've ever done as well, but I was more pressed for time. I'll probably just chicken out and fly, especially if more dates are included on the west coast. My chances would be higher to do it if it was a destination type weekend thing. Road tripping always sounds fun, but sometimes it can turn into a hassle. I'm sure there's a lot of the great outdoors to be seen from here to there though !

I know it's already been sung
but it can't be said enough
ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE
You never really had to begin with.
Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.
