My big problem is that I paid a few bucks to some dude whose company sent him to go to the conference, he had no interest in seeing Pearl Jam, and just pocketed the cash.
Would have preferred if PJ released say, 500 - 1,000 tickets and the money I spent buying a ticket, that money went to a charitable cause.
Here's hoping the Oracle money they received goes to good use, as they stated.

Many conference attendees were leaving town before the concert, so they were more than happy to help out PJ fans with passes. No charge, big smiles. Extra big thanks to Red Mosqito for his passes that allowed us great position to ask for extras.
Show #70 for me last night :-o thought I’d have to wait until next year to reach the milestone :lolno: nope :-D

By the beard of Zeus!!!
I guess first row of the non-VIP section was far better than I thought.
The masses, oh my ... and this doesn't include the enormous sets of bleachers that were in the back as well ... didn't see how full those were during PJ.

Show was great. PJ played very well and put out for the crowd. I felt really lucky to get to be there, especially since I had no idea I'd be going until about 1:00 yesterday. Thought for sure that I'd miss X as I didn't get there till about 9:00, but they had KoL start and then X finish, to about maybe 500 people. They got rid of the barriers before X started, so everyone could get up front. They rocked. I am a big fan, but haven't seen them since 1998, so I was stoked.
I live in Berkeley and drove there. Got there in 15 minutes including parking and home just as fast. Thank goodness for that as I was really tired by 1am!
Glad all the tried got in and even for free.
Hope we get some real PJ shows in the area soon.
With those thoughts in mind I still thought the show was pretty damn good and overall I had a fun time. I got to meet some new PJ friends, witness a solid set delivered by the band and witnessed my first Green Disease in almost 10 years (6/6/2003). I thought the song was fitting for the night even though only a few of us in the crowd really understood the joke behind the song. And you can bet your last dollar I screamed the G R E E D part at the top of my lungs too!
I spent half of the show up pretty close to the front and had a few people around me singing along to a bunch of the songs which made it all the more enjoyable. After Even Flow I headed out of the crowd and posted myself in the bleachers next to edwho and watched (as well as sang!) the remainder of the set from there. I could tell one lady was amazed that I knew every song as I noticed her constantly staring at me out of the corner of my eye.
There were two moments during the show from my perspective where it looked like Ed was thinking to himself "I'll never do one of these shows ever again". The first moment was when someone tossed what looked like one of those glow in the dark hats at Ed and it hit him in the chest but he just laughed it off. The second moment was during Better Man when the crowd usually takes over singing the song, but this time the crowd sing along was pretty much non existent for the obvious reasons.
Overall I'm glad i went and I'm glad i was able to help a few fellow 10c members get passes to this show. I mean who can really complain about seeing PJ on a nice night up in the city with free booze and food to top it all off?!

great that the people leaving were giving their passes to PJ fans! was that free sushi? maybe corporate shows aren't so bad..
They could go retro. Last nights blistering Alive could be the B side.
Thanks for all your help yesterday. Enjoyed the time we spent together, and look forward to more in the future.
Princess Bulldozer’s desire, skill and tenacity got us on the island and in the venue before most others. She’s pretty good company as well. Princess, you are A++ people in my book.
See ya out there, hopefully soon :!:

riiight
keep on dangling a few million in their faces ...im sure they would be open to another go around :fp:
So this is only my second PJ concert (first time was in vienna 2006, such long time ago). I must say I was happy to see that the guys, although they felt the need to sort of apologize every once in a while for doing this kind of a show, put in their usual 1000%, and the show was just awesome! I loved the setlist, carefully chosen..
I don't know any of you guys, but I guess I could feel your presence around me, there were definitely some pearl jam fans in the crowed.
I too hated the blue hat section that was right in front of me (I was on the rail front and center. How can people eat drink and talk with their BACKS to the stage is just beyond me. How Eddie would sing his heart out and these guys would not give a...
But on a positive note I can say I've seen some people converted, meaning, stated off being bored and stuffing their faces, and ending up blown away by that pure energy. Well done.
I'm so wishing for a CA tour soon. I need to see them with a real crowed next time. Still happy I went - although funnily enough I discovered the tickets I paid for were fake half way through the show
Right on, I do remember you! I was toying with the idea of going back but thought it would be too much hassle to weave my way through the crowd again. I had a good time in the crowd and it was nice being around people like yourself who knew PJ's music. I just figured that I couldn't get up any further at that point and there were two twin tower dudes who I could barely see over so just decided to cut out and relax in the back.
Good meeting you and maybe we'll see each other at another corporate event!
RM
I think I remember you passing us!
Right on, RM. It was a bit crowded and hard to see over the tall dudes, but the sound was good there and we had some fans near us, so all good. I really expected to get right up front after KoL as I assumed it would clear out a bit between acts. Oh well. No real complaints. Bonus PJ show. I just figured out this was my 10th show since '95, not counting the half dozen Bridge show performances. First since the last LA show in 2009, so I was hyped to see them, even with at this event.
