it was the first proper LZ gig since 1980... give them a break. it was sensational and above everyone's expectations

For anyone looking for perfection ... Just stick to the studio albums ... It was fantastic and those that were there were very fortunate.

Rather than overanalysing the whole thing, why not just enjoy it for what it is - a one off gig which hasnt been overly edited or overdubbed, in order to capture the spirit of the evening. If you dont rate the gig, dont watch it. I dont recall any "cringeworthy" moments, as you put it - there's interviews with Page, Plant and Jones in this months Mojo magazine in the UK, and Page himself says that maybe he should've overdubbed a few guitar parts here or there. He also says that some things worked incredibly well, some didnt work, but it is what it is. Thats the way that I will be viewing it, and I think its absolutely brilliant for a one-off gig.[/quote]Well said, I agree 100%

Got my copy yesterday, the packaging is superb don't you think? I haven't watched it all yet but was blown away by Kashmir, the sound is immense, the visuals stunning and they seemed in great form as a band, considering the many years since they were all on stage together doing their thing... Jason Bonham does a superb job filling his old man's big boots.

I've just gotta come back here for a big bowl of my words and a whole humble pie for dessert.

Had the absolute pleasure of watching this on bluray, good and loud last night. It's flatout amazing. There were moments where I was literally laughing it was so good. Couldn't be pressed to pick a favorite tune, but my favorite moment has to be the smirk of "we just kicked ass" Page has after Nobody's Fault But Mine. They looked like they were having a blast and Baby Bonham seems completely blown away at the end.

I must've had ahold of the worst rip of anything I've ever heard for my previous review or maybe the audio releases just doesn't stack up to the bluray.

There's still some minor snafus, but holy shit what a show. Biggest complaint with the vid is I think they were a little fidgety with the angle switches. It's not Immagine in Cornice bad but I wish they could've stayed with some shots a little longer.

Well, I had a great day yesterday. In the midst of watching college football and needing a break from it, I hit up my local recrod store and was able to score 5 PJ boots from the 2000 tour and as I was coompleting my purchase, I told the guy to throw in Celebration Day as well.

All I can is amazing and wow. To go that long and still be able to sound like that and put that kind of show on. I don't care if they had been rehearsing for the 6 months prior, to go that long without playing a show and with the aging, to not miss a beat and come right back where they left, is amazing. It seemed like they were on tour. And huge ups to Baby Bonham - dude was ROCKING it! He was visibly pretty empotional and nervous as it says in the liner notes of the box set I got. You could tell after a few songs he was really getting into and then by Kashmir he was absolutely going off.

Plant sounded great - still just an absolutely incredible voice. Page showing everyone how it's done. Jones playing the keys and bass like he's still been touring all this time. Seeing the many looks on their faces and how visible how much fun they were having was great. Highly recommend this to anyone who is at least casually interested in Zeppelin. A very nice production too.

Yep, watching things like this which isn't on a quality format does make a hell of difference. Sounds like you really enjoyed it on Blu-Ray, nice one, great to hear.
