In a thread about martial law we are debating, among other things, possibly preparing for it by purchasing supplies- some have mentioned guns- and every person cited their purposes as being for either self-protection, or hunting.

I dunno, I guess I was just baffled, so I did some digging. I see why some people are freaked out about some things. But when they claim they're going to do this for population control? I cant imagine thousands of people agreeing to do that kind of thing, aside from Nazi Germany. And I keep seeing comparisons to Nazi Germany when I research the stuff. I guess my point is, that there are all sorts of walks of life and we can believe what we want, because some of us are going to take it for what it looks like, and others are going to dig a hole and wear a fucking bearskin robe and eat spam for a few months...but live and let live...

Reality is a motherfuckin' bitch and that's exactly how I see true chaos playing out. Anyone who thinks otherwise isn't as prepared as they think they are... in my humble opinion anyway.
On martial law happening, lets just say I am prepared:
1. isolated bugout location and escape plan to get there
2. food and seed stored
3. assorted small arms/semi-atomatic rifles, plenty of ammo. (hunting and self-defense)
4. several thousand $ in silver coins and bars
5. medical supplies
Anyone living in a big city might want to think about an escape plan... power grid down, most spoiled in 48 hours. Total anarchy ensues. In a national economic collapse, it has been said that half of Ameriica's population would die or be killed within 2 years.
Got a buddy who lives in Atlanta, a medical doctor- he just bought a giant brushguard for his Grand Cherokee... ...and it ain't for brush.
Hopefully it will never happen, but if it does, I plan on being part of the surviving half...
