Her school has already had a meeting, and the secret service is already investigating.

I must admit, the whole thing on twitter was terrify entertaining. The Secret Service's account just lit up. I'm brand new to twitter (great way to follow PJ related things!), and that was kind of fun to watch unfold.

Imagine what her parents are like?

Possibly - also perhaps from getting so caught up in social media shit at that age.

Good lesson for this unwise girl to think before she speaks, writes...also to realize that - oh god! - actions have repercussions.

Agreed on the social media outlet , it's sad i know i'm naive but why can't the parties that be just come out and state that threats & hate rethoric has to stop , do you think that's asking way to much from the candidates ...

Yeah maybe. That's what I thought first too... and then remembered the guy I went to school with who, in two separate instances, ended up stabbing two innocent strangers to death on account of his on going difficulty with dealing with sudden anger. He had very mild learning disabilities that didn't even come across on a social level (when he wasn't stabbing people), but his parents were two of the nicest people and responsible parents around who did what they could for him, and his two other siblings were very successful in life.

I can think of 4 other people I went to school with over the years just off the top of my head who were bad apples with kind loving parents who did the best they could. And this was even before parents coddled their kids way too much like they do now.

You're right, It is very often the parents who carry some responsibility, and that very well may be the case here, but not necessarily by any stretch. Sometimes kids go rotten for some other reason (bad outside influences, born with a bad disposition, reactions to bullying, plain stupidity, etc).

I'd also like to mention that i was confused about how many people reacted to this nit wits tweet by saying it was racist... jumping to that conclusion is what I found racist.
