I went last night. There were 4 or 5 different shirts with tour dates on the back. Poster with the city. Same stickers and buttons he had last year.

Shirts were 25, pretty cheap considering it was a concert t-shirt.

Im going to the sept. 29th show in Toronto. Cant wait. This will be my 11th ben harper show, but first time seeing him do a full acoustic set. Im really hoping that people will be able to record some of the dates on this tour as i have a feeling they will be some memorable shows!

  • I'm going to see him Oct. 6 in Portland, Maine; second time seeing him, but first solo acoustic. The other time I saw him was an early show with R7 at a bar in Boston several years ago; Incredible show in an even tinier venue than the small State Theatre I'll be seeing him next month; have amazing seats for that show. Wasn't ever able to see him with the IC, unfortunately.

He's playing a festival in Halifax, NS about 3.5 hours away from me this weekend, but I decided against that, as it's an outdoor fest on a hill and he's solo acoustic there too, figure the intimate theatre with no opener will be much better.

And yeah, I'm hoping there are some recordings of these shows, they're bound to yield some amazing stuff.
  • It was a great show (Vienna, VA)! Not to mention I was lucky enough to get front row tickets the day before, dead center. Probably will never be able to say that again.

It was truly a great set. He played Indifference on the xylophone. His website posts the set lists, so anyone going besure to check it out.

My wife and I are so glad we went. It was our ten year anniversity treat to ourselves. The Wolfe Trap was beautiful as well, first time there.
    Hey brother.
  • If anyone knows of a place to possibly look for Ben Harper concert boots. I know it is a long shot, but I would to have a copy the Wolfe Trap show on 9/4
    Hey brother.
  • Seeing him tonight, will report back!

thanks so much for posting your recording! what did you use to record the set? from what ive heard so far (only been listening to the first couple of tracks) the yelling out hasnt been too too bad so far. What have peoples experiences been so far on this tour? drives me crazy when you have to deal with the hammered assholes screaming and wooooing throughout the quiet songs during a ben harper concert ....so im hoping a full acoustic set wont be a night full of dudes yelling.

    Is there hoodie?

I meant to post in this thread but the forum was being lame as hell!

THANKS FOR RECORDING!! I been searching every minute for a youtube vid of Indifference and the only once is a bit crappy and incomplete. O the recording jumps a bit?

I hope he returns to Europe, I miss him opening for PJ. That's the best support ever...BH + R7 ahh.

Saw him Saturday night at the Summersonic festival in Halifax. What a freaking performance! He came on around 9:20 and played until almost midnight (city curfew is 11pm). Second song of the night was a cover of Indifference on the vibraphone (link below...of the first 2 songs...Indifference starts at 3:23). My favorite of the night was the cover he did of Atlantic city...just awesome! Haven't found a vid for that yet. Anyone going to see him on this tour is in for a treat...just plain awesome! Apparently he spent alot of time at the skate park at the commons on Friday...skating with the locals...pretty sweet!

That's awesome! I really debated going to this too, I have tix for Portland, ME, but in the end decided I'd best save some money and I wasn't sure how his solo acoustic set would go over outside on hill festival and also what his set length would be, but looks like it was incredible and he played an extra hour!

Add on the fact he loves this city, and we're destined for a night to remember.

  • For those going to the Toronto show on Saturday, driving to/parking at the show is sure to be a major pain. It's Toronto's Nuit Blanche festival, all-night art show on the streets of the city (http://www.scotiabanknuitblanche.ca/2012-event/). I'd highly recommend taking public transportation to the show. The subway will be operating all night (http://www3.ttc.ca/Riding_the_TTC/Event ... ur_way.jsp). GO trains, too, will be operating (http://www.gotransit.com/public/en/upda ... anges.aspx).
