Best versions of RVM on a boot?

edited March 2007 in Given To Fly (live)
(posted this on RM as well to get a full sample!)

Things to consider-

-Ed's voice- in the last few tours (Since 2000 even?) he mails it in sometimes and doesnt really go for it. No scream, doesnt hold the notes, etc.
-The jam- how long is it? Is Cameron changing up the time sig (has maybe been doing this a bit more recently), or just making noise? Does the band ever lock in and really start a new sounding jam/riff/song?
-Guitar tone- Is it all Ed's half assed distortion? Can you hear Mike and Stone? Is it the bad ass buzz saw distortion we really havent seen since 95-96?

?

Thanks,

M

  • I really enjoy the tokyo boot, 03-03-03.

The guitar solos in the middle were amazing.

I have to go with Buenos Aires 05. The jam was like 7 minutes long, and everyone was so tight on it. What a great jam!!

Yea I was. Both were great shows. Camden is very underrated I think. We got Wash, Baba and Satan's Bed. All were totally unexpected! :D

No mention of San Diego '06 yet? For shame.
  • I'd have to say from Saturday Night Live back in 94, I think it was, with Dave on the drums, he sounded really really good playing that, and even the band jam wasn't restricted, it was just great, and Ed's voice actually had pressure in it and sounded to absolute perfection, now he's got basically no pressure in his voice, tho it does still sound good I do admit lol
