Based on your understanding, what are his specific policies that will help small business?

The corporate tax rate cut doesn't really apply to small businesses, since a majority of them pay out their profits to owners via salary, or pass the profits/losses through to owners in the case of s-corporations.

It is all about climate ...

if bigger companies than my micro business are doing well they will need my
service, my product. They will advertise, they will have seminars, they will hold conventions,
trade shows. They will need more print.

If people are employed they will go out to dinner more, I will get more restaurant work.
Point of purchase print. I could go on and on.

Business is all connected and when you are in it
you are not worrying about who is rich and who isn't.
You're doing your best to make the most, keep your baby alive and providing for your
employees however many you have. You need a healthy economy to flourish.

If he helps bigger businesses, they may also grow because of their favorable treatment, and put small businesses out of business!
A favorable business environment is for everyone not just business.
There is always a risk of competition, a welcome risk ...
a very real risk no matter the climate.

It can be a positive even a welcome situation...
an improved climate can bring buy outs in millions even for the micro business. :D

Still wondering how he will help small business...he mentioned deregulation....would he abolish minimum wage or overtime laws? Would he make it so that employers can institute discriminatory pension and medical plans? Will he abolish OSHA?

He will probably do about as much as our current President unfortunately ;)

I'm a small employer and would not want any of the above measures taken,
    I love my employees.
