Got into bed with THIS!

I Oh My Freakin GAWD!

It was late, about 3 am, and I was still not very tired, but decided I'd better just go lay down. I got all snuggly on the pillows, turned on my side and pulled the comforter up over my shoulder, and THIS was crawling over the top.... headed directly for my neck. It was NOT little.

I RAN!!! And it ran. OMG I haven't moved so fast in decades. This has got to be the creepiest of all creepy crawlers.

Wrong move, I should have caught it and gotten rid of it cuz now I may never sleep again. I've seen them before in other houses, but always on walls or floors, never that close to me..never in my bed. Got the creeps just thinking about it.

Needless to say I slept on the sofa, with no blankets, cuz you know if it was on one, it will most definitely be on them all. Geez.

This is the 2nd one of these I've seen in a couple of weeks. The house seems dry, and I keep it very clean. Have only seen one other bug, that was a silverfish (a yummy meal for a centipede so I hear). The windows are new, and seal up great. I can't figure out where they come from. But I HATE THEM!

Now what will I do?

BTW I tried telling myself that it will die in a couple of days, but thanks to Wikipedia, I now know that these loveliest of Mother Nature's creatures can live for 7 years. Yes SEVEN LONG YEARS!

I will be the sleepiest person ever.

    What do they eat besides silverfish? Maybe you can put out a trap. And have a cat. They eat bugs. Ours eat spiders all the time.

    spiders, silverfish, whatever
    and that's fine
    good for them
    a lot of people, so i read today, will keep them in the house because they eat other bugs
    but i would rather have a hundred other bugs
    than one of these nasty creepies!

    Ew, ew, ew, ew! :o

    I do not like bugs at all. But I can handle them (some of them), if they're away from me. But that would freak me out majorly.

    As for cats eating bugs, my kitty just dined on a spider a couple of days ago. And some mosquitoes. :roll: :lol: I should add that she did also run away from a bug not too long ago.

    I've only ever seen this one other time. Damn they're creepy. Kinda has the same color scheme as The Predator. Still, I'd take one of those over bed bugs ANY day.

    Yeah we get those bastards in our basement sometimes. I HATE HATE HATE them. Once I nudged my dog towards one thinking maybe he would eat it and he was afraid of it too. Damn dog. I did, however, get that bug barrier spray stuff that you spray around your windows and doors outside and it seems to have helped. In the meantime, you can only hope that little sucker went away in a vent somewhere.
