Hurricane warning = hurricane EXPECTED within 36 hours.

hurricane = sustained winds of at least 74 mph.

  • You all be carefully out there!! You areall in my
thoughts and prayers! I have been through one of those
things and they're insanely scary. Please make sure to stock
up on all good sand supplies for at the very
least 3-4 days.. We were in-bound for 7 days with no water
or electricity, and I had both Wolf-dogs to take care of,
plus thispsycho cat that had kittens mid hurricane, we named
all the kittens after past storms!! Lol Again please be safe out
    there!

We gathered all the supplies for a hurricane kit today. I'm hoping we won't need it, but still, it doesn't hurt to pay attention. :wtf:

you are not the only one. I am thinking of that song too, especially now that I am watching coverage on the Weather Channel of the levee breach and that they will evacuate everyone out of that area and create another breach to drain the flood

Evacuations ordered over possible dam break from Isaac
By Rick Jervis, William M. Welch and Alison Bath, USA TODAYUpdated 6m ago

NEW ORLEANS – Officials scrambled on Thursday to evacuate up to 60,000 residents in a rural area as a lake dam threatened to break near the Mississippi-Louisiana border.
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal called the situation in the Tangipahoa Parish area "the biggest challenge" the state faced Thursday. Search-and-rescue teams were being assembled and two nursing homes were being evacuated.

"This could change very rapidly," Jindal said. "I do want to emphasize the situation is very fluid."

If it keeps on rainin', levee's goin' to break,
If it keeps on rainin', levee's goin' to break,
When The Levee Breaks I'll have no place to stay.

Mean old levee taught me to weep and moan,
Mean old levee taught me to weep and moan,
Got what it takes to make a mountain man leave his home,
Oh, well, oh, well, oh, well.

Don't it make you feel bad
When you're tryin' to find your way home,
You don't know which way to go?
    If you're goin' down South
They go no work to do,
If you don't know about Chicago.

Cryin' won't help you, prayin' won't do you no good,
Now, cryin' won't help you, prayin' won't do you no good,
When the levee breaks, mama, you got to move.

All last night sat on the levee and moaned,
All last night sat on the levee and moaned,
Thinkin' about me baby and my happy home.
Going, going to Chicago... Going to Chicago... Sorry but I can't take you...
Going down... going down now... going down....
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.
