  • Philosophical divide you bet there is! On that alone I would not vote for Obama.

So then... how come it's the red states that take by FAR the most government handouts, have the highest amount of people on welfare and unemployment and use the most government funds?

    I've always wondered that.

but since you so clearly put it that Romney voters are the ones who do all the work, you can explain this... conundrum.

Oh shit, now I guess I should start a thread called "Wikipedia Wars".

Oh, and no, it doesn't surprise me to hear Ryan was ratted out. Bad P.R.

  • i totally thought this thread was going to be about him being a rage against the machine fan.
Although, hopefully in the debates he will be called out on this.

While it's true that all politicians lie (and frankly, so do virtually all people), insisting that you didn't take funds when you in fact did... (even though you railed against them and voted against then)... that's not the same as "I did not have sexual relations with that woman... Miss Lewinksky."

But we're talking about Paul Ryan. He's the one who rails against social security even though it's what paid for his college.

So there are different degrees of lying? Some are acceptable then and some aren't? :corn:

"No, I don't think that dress makes you look fat" - acceptable lie

"Yes, your baby is beautiful." - acceptable lie

"I didn't take stimulus funds, the president is a socialist and I'll have none of it." - unacceptable lie

So lying during impeachment hearings is an acceptable lie right? :corn:

it is stated that ryan wrote the request.

    how can he forget?

did it just slip his mind that he asked for millions of dollars?

if i am asking for money, you can damn sure bet that i am going to remember that i asked for it...

    i'll take this bait...

we have all bashed clinton for being a liar. i do not see how that has anything to do with this topic. you are just defelecting from the real issue, that paul ryan has ralied against the stimulus at every turn while having his hand out waiting for that money. he specifically asked for it.

if you are gonna deflect, how about we add that rick perry also railed against the stimulus, but then gladly accepted the money. the money from that has been included in the texas budget.
