Does anyone know how to ship posters anymore?

Does anyone know how to ship posters anymore? I swear I have the worst luck lately with posters. You'd figure after the McFarlane fiasco that people would take some care when shipping.

I ordered the July 26th EV poster by Brandon Heart on Heart Work studios and got it yesterday and both corners on the left side were dinged to shit.

I also bought another poster from someone on the bay and both endcaps were missing and the poster was at the very end of the tube and one whole side is scraped and ripped and totally ruined. Smh....

So please people take some time and thought when shipping. I know shit happens, but common sense always wins.

Thanx! Ryan

sorry to hear about your experiences lately.

Was the one without caps at the ends an Ames poster? I believe if you buy posters directly from Ames themselves, they send with no caps at the ends and just tape.

Is that bad? They tape it up pretty well, and my posters have always been pristine. Assumed they were doing it to be environmentally friendly :)

They only do it because its cheaper to buy the tubes without the ends. :? I have no clue why any one would send with no end caps.

I posted this before but one time I had a poster tube delivered through my mail slot!! It looked like the postman stomped on it to flatten it out so he could fit it through. Both cap ends were blown out and the poster was completely creased. I brought it to the post office and they told me because it wasn't registered and only shipped through regular mail that there was nothing they could do.
  • Yeah, I got that Eddie Vedder Brandon Heart poster also. The end caps weren't taped and it wasn't wrapped in kraft paper. Mine also was dinged on the side.

Oh yeah...no kraft paper either. I forgot to add that. Extremely unprofessional!!! Although Ames doesn't ship w caps they tape the shit out of the ends and the tubes are best I've ever seen. They're lined on the inside, very rigid and sturdy, they're also ribbed for some reason...maybe for her pleasure?
I've never had a problem with Ames!!!
