Free speech is great and all, but heckling is immature and stupid. We need to at least let the other side voice their opinion. Also, the security concerns are valid.
And it is done by BOTH SIDES, and was ENDORSED BY THE ROMNEY CAMPAIGN. Actually by Romney himself if I'm not mistaken. The Obama campaign condemned heckling.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

both sides heckle eachother... either 'side' isn't innocent when it comes to this.. please don't paint liberals as people that lack common sense.
I did not say all...
I would say the same for a conservative, it is rude disruptive and immature.
Do we think the conservatives planted these women?
remember when it was reversed awhile back and someone used that theory...0 -

The vast majority of whites do not hate blacks in the South, we live side by side,
those days long gone.
So many yankees now live in the South also, it is actually more segregated in
other parts of the country. I don't see color at all knowing and loving
like I never did in the North.

Not liking our President would be more founded in party for sure...
Take notice of how well the black candidates have done and those that hold office.
I might have liked, like many, the opportunity to vote for Cain until his very personal
life was made public and ruined it for him.0 -

I didnt read it, but did they get arrested? Unless they got in trouble in some way, I dont think this should be considered lack of common sense. They were probably some extremists that went there to cause a problem in attempt to get headlines. They likely accomplished what they set out to do as a political move.Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)0 -

I'm sick of the Southern stereotypes and I don't even live there.
I wish Herman Cain was still around too. I think once you love someone you just don't see unimportant things like that.
And it takes just one to love to realize this. We are all just people.
Do you visit the South? because it did sound like stereotyping...
assuming people here are prejudice and hate because of color.Post edited by pandora on0 -

1. Destructiveness: Attitudes, policies and practices destructive to other cultures; purposeful
destruction and dehumanization of other cultures; assumption of cultural superiority; eradication of other cultures; or exploitation by dominant groups. The complete erosion of one's culture by contact with another is rare in today's society.
2. Incapacity: Unintentional cultural destructiveness; a biased system, with a paternal attitude toward other groups; ignorance, fear of other groups and cultures; or discriminatory practices, lowering expectations and devaluing of groups.
3. Blindness: The philosophy of being unbiased; the belief that culture, class or color makes no difference, and that traditionally used approaches are universally applicable; a well- intentioned philosophy, but still an ethnocentric approach.
4. Pre-Competence: The realization of weaknesses in working with other cultures; implementation of training, assessment of needs, and use of diversity criteria when hired; desire for inclusion, commitment to civil rights; includes the danger of a false sense of accomplishment and tokenism.
5. Competence: Acceptance and respect for differences; continual assessment of sensitivity to other cultures; expansion of knowledge; and hiring a diverse and unbiased staff.
6. Proficiency: Cultures are held in high esteem; constant development of new approaches; seeking to add to knowledge base; advocates for cultural competency with all systems and organizations.

Ummm, she stepped up onto the stage. :fp:hippiemom = goodness0 -
Honestly, I don't think I've ever been for heckling or interrupting a speaker.
Now, if it's part of a Q&A period, that's a different story.
But regardless, this person stepped up on the stage and very well could have been going after Ryan. I'm shocked she wasn't tackled.hippiemom = goodness0 -

Just stop insinuating that it's ok for one side and not the other.
