Hecklers in the crowd of his first solo appearance.

He points to them and police drag them away. He then accuses them of not being from Iowa, where he was.

He later went to ChickFilA to support "free speech."

I hope assholes that do this, be it against Obama or Romney, are taken out back and have the shit kicked out of them. Same goes with the congressman that yelled "liar" at Obama. An example needs to be made to the assholes out there. :geek:

I heard this and loved his down to earth reply about the good people of the Midwest being respectful.
    Hecklers are immature ...

I see nothing wrong with this. I really don;t If you're going to be disrespectful you will be removed. Plain and simple. It would be no different if this were an Obama rally/speech during 08. No different at all.

I'd have more respect for him if he'd allowed the protestors to ask their questions and voice their grievances, and then answered them.

Anyway, here's what the Washington post had to say about it:

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/ele ... _blog.html
'...no sooner than Ryan took the stage than a small group of protesters at the front of the crowd – some holding Romney signs – began yelling at the newly-minted vice-presidential candidate.

“Are you going to cut Medicare?” a woman a few yards in front of Ryan screamed.

Soon after, a few women attempted to storm the stage, yelling and climbing on top of the bales of hay in front of it before they were ushered away.

“These ladies must not be from Iowa or Wisconsin,” Ryan told the crowd as he sought to regain his footing.

Suddenly another protester began screaming. “Stop the war on the middle class!” yelled an older, bespectacled man with a white beard.

ANd if they were respectful I'm sure he would have answered...mayb...maybe not. What people forget when they watch shit like this is there are security concerns. This is a vice presidential candidate man. If you go to his speech and start yelling and acting like an asshole you're going to be removed. :? It's not about politics at that point, it's just about safety. :? :fp:

Not me. I'll remember how disrespectful the liberal democrats were at his rally. I probably won't be the only one either. Might even sway some people in the middle seeing kooks like this that had to be removed.

Did any of you watch the video?

The lady steps up onto the stage. She gets taken away. For all the things not to like Ryan about, this is fucking petty.

If someone did this at a Biden or Obama rally, they would have been tackled. Oh, and the press wouldn't have been about not letting protesters speak, it would have been about how racist people hate Obama enough to disrespect him.

both sides heckle eachother... either 'side' isn't innocent when it comes to this.. please don't paint liberals as people that lack common sense.

I'm not sure where I stand on this.. as I think Paul Ryan would be a terrible backward choice for VP or any major job in the USA but I agree that there is no place for heckling in politics.. I do agree with most heckles including the romney heckler that called him a racist.. I mean if he is a mormon he is a racist correct? anyway I'm going off on a tangent.. It's not either side that is only heckling it's just a small proportion on both sides.. They should have got removed with paul ryan and that journo should have got removed when he heckles the president.

I think especially in the south there is a link to hating obama and him being black.. surely you see that.

I'm sure, just like there is a link to some liking him because of his skin color. Surely you see that. Oh, and surely you see you completely missed the point.

And political candiate, when approached on stage by someone from the crowd, will be protected by removing those people. SHOCKING!!!!

While I think Ryan is a putz....I think the person yelling at him is one, too...

with that said, I wonder if those who are condemning this "heckler" feel the same about all the yelling and screaming done by the right during the healthcare debates a couple years ago...

and how about Rmoney's bus circling and honking at Obama events and when Rmoney supporters yelled down Axlerod a few weeks ago...I'm the right was just as outraged....yes...?

I hate to break it to some blind believers but Most major players on the conservative side of the aisle are in fact LIBERALS, they just want your dumb asses to fall in line.

G W Bush was one of the biggest liberals America has ever seen.

    Romney's a liberal

    Reagan huge liberal

So know what a liberal is before you toss it around like some red headed step child or a four letter word

Free speech is great and all, but heckling is immature and stupid. We need to at least let the other side voice their opinion. Also, the security concerns are valid.

And it is done by BOTH SIDES, and was ENDORSED BY THE ROMNEY CAMPAIGN. Actually by Romney himself if I'm not mistaken. The Obama campaign condemned heckling.

    I did not say all...

I would say the same for a conservative, it is rude disruptive and immature.

Do we think the conservatives planted these women? ;)

Do you ever visit the South?
The vast majority of whites do not hate blacks in the South, we live side by side,
    those days long gone.
So many yankees now live in the South also, it is actually more segregated in
other parts of the country. I don't see color at all knowing and loving
like I never did in the North.

I think you should come visit and see...

Not liking our President would be more founded in party for sure...
Take notice of how well the black candidates have done and those that hold office.

so off topic but anyway... it's important to see color because that is what makes us different in a good way and what makes is who we are.
