just looking to download some shows from the 2006 tour. I know a good setlist helps, but I'm more interested in those shows when it seems like they are just playing every song perfectly.

From what I've listened to so far, Newcastle seems to be the show where they just nail every single song they played.

Any other suggestions?

No, not compared to the album versions. I know I'm just being picky because they do sound good every show.

I do think though there are certain shows where it just seems like they are a little more "on" than others. I've heard a lot of the bootlegs, but there are some where it just seems like everything goes right.

Kind of hard to explain I guess, but I think a few of the shows that stand out are?
buffalo 2003, atlantic city 2005 (both shows), jones beach 2000 (when they opened with 'of the girl'), and now I put newcastle 2006 on there.

to be honest i prefer shows that arn't perfect.. otherwise its so boring hearing the same version of the song over and over again.. i love the subtle melodies eddie changes in songs + tempo and just other stuff like the different fills or beats etc.

    sorry im no help!

    tried the Gorge show?

I would recommend San Diego, Albany, and Santa Barbara.

San Diego was good, Newcastle was good.

My favourite 2006 boot by a MILE though was Dublin... it's got the best mix of band and crowd IMHO. It just STILL gives me chills listening to it.
    The Astoria??? Orgazmic!
    Verona??? it's all surmountable
Dublin 23.08.06 "The beauty of Ireland, right there!"
    Wembley? We all believe!
Copenhagen?? your light made us stars
    Chicago 07? And love
    What a different life
Had I not found this love with you

Is this the one when they opened for U2?

Thanks to everyone else, I've already heard San Diego and Sydney and they are good shows. Guess Santa Barbara and Hawaii are the next ones I should try out.

  • They're all available my friend, why not go through them over time and download them all.

All 3 SF shows are great, both Gorge, both LA, both E.Rutherford, both Boston, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Cleveland, they're all amazing shows.

Cag, I told you that Hawaii show is deadly. The one Sarah is talking about is the show that I have, the one before they opened for U2, its in Honolulu.

A few that I think are deadly are:
Hawaii '07 (not the one when they opened for U2)
Buffalo '03 (this one is a given, plus we were at that show together, lol)
    San Diego '06
    San Fran '06 (Night 3)
    Mansfield '03 (All 3 shows)
Barrie '98 (just cause it was our first show)
    Molson Park '98, Air Canada Centre '00, HSBC'03, Molson Ampitheatre '03, John Labatt Centre '05, Copps Coliseum '05, Air Canada Centre '05, Air Canada Centre '06 (Night 1 & 2), Molson Ampitheatre '09, HSBC'10, MSG'10 (Night 1 & 2), Air Canada Centre '11, Copps Coliseum '11, HSBC '13, Budweisser Garden '13.

    EV Solo Tour - Massey Hall '08 (Night 1 & 2)

San Diego is probably the best of 2006 IMO. Cleveland and Grand Rapids are also very good. Grand Rapids has a great setlist, and Cleveland has a great encore

This is the show at the Blaisedell. They played another show days later when they opened for U2 at Aloha Stadium, which was only about an hour long.

They're both available on my download thread.
