Hotel deck clerk laughs at disabled Vet

There are two sides to every story and this whole attitude that it is unpatriotic to questions the actions of any person who has served in the military is getting old because honestly, sometimes an asshole is just an asshole and the faces of gold diggers have changed. If it's not about the money, why talk to Fox News!!!
--Why were they even talking to a clerk and not the manager? How is it that he and his Dad didn't need hotel assistance to get him down 3 flights of steps, and only demanded help with his bags and chair? The article is kind of confusing as to whether he was on the 1st floor or the 3rd floor when he made the call.
--Sliding down stairs seems as though this was something he normally did, probably at home. A person just doesn't throw their self down 3 flights of steps because some clerk pissed them off. If this was the first time he was going to slide down some steps, and to be doing it because he was angry and upset, as his Dad, I'd would have been freaked. Instead, they are were pissed because his Dad would have to get the chair and luggage, WTF.
--Again, why didn't the Dad just go to the front desk for assistance?
--Here's the liability issues,
a) yes a hotel employee can help a person with their luggage, however, transporting a wheelchair could present a liability issue if the chair is not properly setup before the person is placed back into that chair. With so many variety of chairs and their functions, a hotel employee would not know to check to see if they may have inadvertently moved a safety lock, but a person looking to make a couple of bucks off a hotel, well that's another story.
b) this person just elected to slide down 1 or 2 flights of stairs, as an employee or guest, I would not offer any assistance in placing him back into that chair or moving him once he got back into the chair. But, go ahead help him, and, while you think you are doing your patriotic duty, don't be surprised to fine yourself being served papers a couple weeks later.SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.0
