Maybe we should prioritize your list of what to see first...
So far I think these should be at the top of the list...
Star Wars
Big Lebowski
Stand by Me
Memento
Goodfellas
Have you seen...
12 Monkeys?
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest?
The Shining?
I'd rather watch Lost Boys than Star Wars
I can't remember if I saw 12 monkeys or not...
no
no
oh, and I should tell you I even took a Film as Literature class in high school.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

Yeah... You know, I like Star Wars fine I guess (the originals), but I think it's outrageously overrated. There are a million movies you should watch before those ones IMHO!
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington
Psycho
Singing in the Rain
The Seven Year Itch
and another movie I can't remember...black and white, there was a lady who was murdered, and the guy put the body in a garment bag that was hung on the closet door...
I didn't fail, I got an A-

yes (and good, I really have no desire to see The Godfather, I saw Mobsters and decided that was good enough)

+1... It's not my favorite movie but is up there... It's a fascinating take on something that was a big part of American culture... A movie everyone should see.
I've never found the attraction to that movie. I've seen it sober, drunk, high, as a teenager, as a 20-something, as an adult, in a box, with a fox, and I just can't see the appeal. I like the SCTV sketches, but just like I loved the Stuart Smalley sketches but hated "Stuart Saves His Family", I can't do "Strange Brew".

The fact that David Alan Grier didn't win an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor proves the Academy is bullshit.
