That's where the mounted police were all weekend long. That smell was most likely horse piss and shit. I don't doubt there were some bodily deposits left by drunkards as well, you put that many people in one area, a good number of bros are bound to lose their lunch and drinks. But I can totally vouch for the horses leaving behind an overwhelming waft of stench. I nearly got pissed on by one of those fuckers on the way to Sunday night's game.Wma31394 said:
It was really only accross the street in front of the marquee very strong. People were probably pissing by the construction zones..chiwhitesox said:
That's how it always smells there. However there was an overwellming smell of urine and vomit outside the park it was nasty...
So what is your opinion of the neighborhood by Comiscular guaranteed rate field?

It still hasn't quite sunk in, and I've definitely gone on Cubs overload these last 7 days!! I've watched Game 7 four more times already. The Cubs are World Series fucking Champions!! Such an incredible season from beginning to end.darwinstheory said:Remember how a week ago today, the Cubs won the World Series?

I'm with you there. I watched it twice since. Read every article I have seen, watched every video clip I could, went up to Wrigleyville on Sunday, talked about it all with anybody who is willing to discuss it.
I'm so glad I didn't take my girlfriends advice. From the beginning of the season, I had a clear understanding that this truly could be it. She was worried, and understandably so, that I would get my hopes up and they would be yanked away from me. From the go, I made a decision....I was going to leave it all out there. Not guarding myself at all. If indeed they were to win it all, I'll be damned if I looked back on the season and wish I enjoyed it all. I did enjoy it all. I wasn't cocky. I didn't tell people they were going to win it all, I just believed they would. I took each game day by day and enjoyed them all (except a couple of World Series games).
Just an amazing season!"A smart monkey doesn't monkey around with another monkey's monkey" - Darwin's Theory0 -

Are there any good souvenirs out there?
I would've liked my ticket stub for game 5, but we got ours from stubhub and never got paper tickets. The worst of times..they don't phase me,
even if I look and act really crazy.0 -
Through the first 5 innings. And Jake had the highest run support of any pitcher in MLB this year. Something like 6.45 runs per game. If Kyle Hendricks had that kind of support, he would've been 25-0.Degeneratefk said:

So that makes him less of a good pitcher? You're correct, if Hendricks had half of Jake's run supoort, he would have only lost a couple of games all year. That doesn't mean jake isn't good.HesCalledDyer said:

Never said he wasn't good. I confirmed he was "one hell of a pitcher" through the first 5 innings. He had trouble with command all year and consistently got beat third time thru the batting order.Star Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250

Congrats to Bryant!! Rookie of the year followed up with mvp and a championship. More importantly he appears to be a humble class act which is hard to find these days with superstars."Going where the water tastes like wine!"0
