    So happy for you, that you had this beautiful experience meeting Eddie! :D:D

    My impression of Eddie is that he has a very big heart and a genuine caring for the fans, just as the rest of the band do. Hopefully, one day, all of us will have that opportunity to meet them and tell them how much they mean to us!! :thumbup:

    Tobias, I was standing in the same line and had the same experience as you!

    I was standing with my bro and girlfriend when all of a sudden Ed jumps out of a van with his hat on followed by a bodyguard.
    People before us handed him presents and hugged him while we stood thinking about what the hell to say to him.
    When he came to us he handed us his last pick and we chatted for a few minutes about the gig, Denmark, how hot it was in the building, vacation, and if he could remember a flag we threw onstage in Athens 2006.

    He couldn´t have been nicer and yes, he gives you his full attention and he´s totally genuine. We hugged him and he called my girlfriend 'Angel'.
    I´m really glad I met him too! What a great experience.

    It´s also amazing that even though he looked damn tired, and a bit sick still, he took his time to chat with everybody.
    He´s a member of the greatest band in the world and he´s just as humble and human as you and me. Incredible....

    However, it was a bit embarrasing to represent Denmark when talking about the venue and how hot it was in there. He said that they thought of doing an acoustic set to begin with and tried to get some sidedoors opened in order to get some fresh air in there but they weren´t allowed to.

    Shame on you Forum you big fat sauna! :nono:

    I still can't believe what happened, but it was Eddie who hugged me, it was Eddie who thanked me. Eddie thanked ME for listening to his music, he gave me a present, the pick, oh man this was a hart breaking moment!

    OH MY GOD!! I´m still walking on clouds after seeing my first PJ show ever in Stockholm and I´m getting goosebombs reading this, so I can´t even imagine how you must feel!! That sounds like a truly beautiful moment .... WOW WOW WOW. Now he´ll definitely recognize you on the 31st of July ... congrats on this beautiful moment you had together with Eddie!!

    hey tobias i had the same great experience like you in the line in copenhagen. :D
    i was the german girl who gave eddie the handmade embroidered flag and i got a plectrum and 2 hugs from him. :D he spoke with me about my flag and what the dates are mean at the back and i told him that copenhagen was my 50th show. :D he was soooo nice and friendly. :D

    awesome story Tobias, finally I got your name by the way... of course he is a nice person, how he couldn't be? a person who writes such songs, songs that we have listened to for 20+ years as if they were our own, and we cherish the most... such person must be a nice one, there is no room for otherwise... and your story goes to those who said that eddie is unreachable... it's just Eddie being Eddie...
