The show was one big family party, from the bottom of the stage to the rooftop! When I turned back from the stage and I saw the crowd my jaw fell to my knees! :o:D
THANK YOU STONE, MIKE, MATT, EDDIE, BOOM & JEFF ! Than-X a lot!

So much has been said here that captures last night that i have nothing much to say but I will say the following. Last night was my 10th PJ show. I did the 2x Manchester, 2x Amsterdam and Prague. All I can say is that I am so glad I did Prague. It was a night to remember/so much energy from the crowd and the band. The band were in great spirits. If I was forced to choose which of the 5 shows was my favorite, I think I will have to go with Prague. Crazy Mary and Evolution were...well crazy! All 5 shows were great/each uniquely different and special. I was hoping for Long Road, Thumbing my Way and Crown of Thorns. I got COT in Ams 2 but I also got Wash, Footsteps and I Got Shit. I go back home happy as hell. No matter what is on the setlist, every PJ show is special.

Having traveled from South Africa for these shows I must say that they were worth every penny and mile traveled. Thank you to all you beautiful people at the pre party and I would have loved to have interacted with each one of you, thank you to Prague, thank you to the PJ community and above all else, thank you Pearl Jam for the wonderful music, for staying true to the music and for enriching all our lives. I go back to my home country not with a heavy heart for missing Berlin and Scandinavia, but with joy and love for a band that has given us all so much.

    Much love

    Mags ;)

I am really happy that some weeks ago I made my last minute decision to go to the Prague show as well. There were only seat tickets left which was a totally new experience for me but next to the stage I could see the entire show and all the members doing their things.

It was cool to see Mike with his child watching X from his (left) side until the last note played!!!

The show itself and the crowd was fuckin awesome (however around me there were only some guys who were rocking like me) and Ed was obviously on top form: he proved it with a hauntingly beautiful Sometimes right at the start.
The craziest highlights for me were Of The Girl, Crazy Mary, Push Me Pull Me, Not For You, Corduroy, Why Go? the crazy Do The Evolution and the most beautiful version of Just Breathe I've heard so far...
and I had suspected that even at my 15th show they would play at least 3 songs I had never heard live and they did 5 (!) actually!!!

and did I mention I had met the guys (except for Jeff) before soundcheck and personally requested Of The Girl? Mike said maybe they would do it but depends on Ed and his mood but he will mention it again for me... I was a little bit disappointed they did Sometimes instead but I guess it was just a joke to mislead me, I dunno, but I liked it even more in the first encore!!!
And I guess I had the most valuable ticket in the arena because they had signed it, fortunately when entering its side was not torn off!

I am pretty sure Prague was cemented on their must visit list just like Holland and Berlin!!!

This was my first show outside of North America and here are some of my comments

    - crowd was very energized and good. I know why the bands prefers to not do it, but it was really cool to be in general admission on the floor. That really helped the energy and the atmosphere. It was hot as hell though

    - the crimson shirt with a czech seal is really awesome, tons of czech symbolism on there and looks very old school European. The same crest was on the crimson flag but i didnt buy that.

    - one thing against the crowd is that the singing was definitely far below par compared to NY, Philly. Obviously the language has a lot to do with this but few people were singing. And just in general, in the Northeast it feels like the band and the crowd are of a single mind, working together whereas here it seemed more like Eddie was leading the crowd by the hand.

    - Set was solid... sometimes was preformed really well and I havent heard of the girl in so long. DTE, Black, Crazy Mary were excellent, and Baba really got everyone going. Alive kind of seemed hurt by the crowd compared to normal.

    - Eddies Czech is fucking atrocious LOL. It was basically borderline spanglish.

    - the show went mad long... almost midnight when we got out

    - Anyone else feel like WWS is just not that great of a concert song... I dont know, everytime Ive heard it live it just doesn§t sound that great and seems to be mising something.

    - Well really good show. So glad I came. Hard to measure up with masterpieces like the Spectrum and MSG and the Gorge Ive been to, but still a very excellent show. Thanks guys1

This has been such a treat for the Euro fans this year and we must be the envy of those fans across the various seas and oceans. I think PJ will have to push the boat out in the US next year and try to match this. I thought Canada was amazing last year but this tour is slowly eclipsing that now. The variation in setlists has been so radically different it's hard to keep up with the songs that are being debuted for the tour. This show looked amazing again and I think I read the setlist 3 times to take it in. First Sometimes (my favourite song) since Belfast I think and I'd loved to have heard God's Dice, Of The Girl and most of all Garden in Manchester. Push Me Pull Me is such a great song live and Not For You has sounded really fresh this time. Also really nice to see Crazy Mary in there. Two shows on a PJ tour just simply aren't enough for me the way they're playing and every one of these threads has me kicking myself. Berlin have never had a show that hasn't been spectacular and if Prague and Amsterdam are anything to go by it's going to be two very memorable evenings there. They are writing the kind of setlists that we do for fantasy on the forum and I will have to buy the boot box now! :D

Prague was my 8th show, but my first one standing with Ten Club tickets and Wristband. Having followed the band since the early 90s, bought numerous bootlegs, watched the set lists as they've come in and read the fan reviews, etc etc, finally I was going to get the chance to be down in the action that my previous seated tickets had only allowed me to view from afar...in most cases way far up in the nosebleeds. The magical Wuhlheide show, a couple of years back, was as close as I'd been to the stage, seated Mike's side, which I'd persuaded my 'tour life partner' (as she has now decided to be called) to join me for under the pretence of a mini-break in Berlin. We had such a great time at both the gig and the city that convincing her to come with me to Prague was easier than I thought (two nights in Manchester and another trip later to Copenhagen was a little trickier).

Prague itself is stunning and after a spot of sightseeing and eating some strange cheeses we wandered over to the pre-gig meet-up. Loads of fans had turned up for it and, due to the lack of aircon in the downstairs area, most folk where drinking it up out front as the rain came down and the trams whizzed past. I spotted a few people from here, but all were so busy chatting that I didn't get around to saying hello to anybody...what can I say, I'm a shy Englishman. Great night all the same, me and the wife knocked back a fair few beers and enjoyed the empty Charles Bridge on the stagger back to our hotel in the Old Town.

The day of the show I wasn't really sure how it was all going to go down so we headed over to the o2 for around 3pm and queued up for the Tickets and Wristbands with a fair few others. Americans in the queue were saying it lacked the excitement of a US ticket queue since you're not about to find out where you're sitting, so why was I so excited? I could see another queue had already started at the Ten Club entrance which I presumed were partners/friends saving places already. Tickets and bands secured we naffed off to get some cigs and a beer. When we made it back, the entrance queue had grown a little and some people had mysterious numbers on their hands...not sure how they got those, but we joined the line and waited for the doors to open.

6.15pm we were unleashed on the o2 in a calm and orderly fashion and amazingly we ended up third 'row' on Mike's side. Pretty much prefect and met a nice group in front of us (Hey Adam and Jodie). Saw the merch T-shirt and a phone pic of the poster...eurgh. The Ten Club had its own sectioned off area and there seemed to be plenty of space for some decent rocking without some of the drama I'd seen from high above in the past. As well as our silver wristbands we spotted that our area was being shared with some locals wearing yellow bands, which was nice since we were in their city after all.

X kicked serious arse, fellow Jammer Adam's enthusiasm for them was infectious and didn't go unnoticed by Billy Zoom who kept beaming that smile our way. We spotted Mike at the side taking pictures and then Eddie was out on stage for Devil Doll. Things were off to an amazing start.

So you've seen the setlist, great stuff, but here are a few memories of moments that happened - probably all out of order, but you know how that can be, right? Mike came across the stage holding up his kid, which was pretty sweet. Sometimes opened and was very well received, especially by me as I'd not heard it since '96. Was great to see Jeff playing his upright bass. I figured that they were going to ease us into this show, but suddenly Animal kicked and I was jumping into the air with the rest of the crowd - this was something I'd wanted to do since the first time I heard that song, being launched up by Matt's kick drum thump was as amazing as I'd hoped it would be. Mike was darting around in front of us pointing out plectrum targets, pointing to the heavens, bouncing along with us and bowing graciously backwards after solos. The guy is a fucking god! At one point he sent a shower of picks out and everybody in front of me went to the ground hunting, leaving me stood facing him...was a really funny moment, like getting a private solo or something...you don't really think of the thousands of people behind you during moments like that I guess. Must be awesome being on the rail all night. Setting Forth was a real surprise and sounded fantastic. I'd heard Push Me Pull Me during soundcheck and onstage at Wuhlheide, but still, it's bloody brilliant live and you could tell Ed was really into it. You could also tell right from the start how impressed he was with the energy the crowd was giving off. Garden blew me away, had wanted to hear it this tour and it was a superb version, really made me and the wife's night. Ed did the shiny spotlight off his guitar thing and managed to take us out even down the front. During the first encore break the seated fans were stomping their feet, sounded amazing being in the middle of all that noise. Mike accompanied Ed on Just Breathe, not sure if he messed it up or was taking a moment - but he looked very thoughtful at the end of the song. Crazy Mary (I think) Ed built up Mike as an intro to his solo, but goofed it as it turned out to be Boom's solo...funny stuff. The group in front of me had kept their cups from the water that security passed out and waved them bringing Eddie over with his wine bottle. He dished out a generous amount to the front row, too generous as when he held it up to the light there appeared to be little left, so he swigged the rest and handed the bottle to the girl we'd met earlier, Jodie. Bet you won't forget that in a hurry! Mike started playing Angie and Ed joined him singing a couple of lines, Mike then stopped and Ed laughed as if wanting to continue through the whole song. Really up for it at this point. Do The Evolution, Ed got the crowd to repeat the Dooo Do Do Do part and watching him conduct the band and the crowd was impressive. These guys are so damn tight. We all carried the chant on during the second encore break and Ed was very, very complimentary about the crowd saying it was the best this tour. I know he always says shit like that, but from where I was stood I couldn't argue. Stone held a book open for him to read some Czech from while he drank out of a very large ornate stein. The improv during the Save It For Later tag was cool, looking forward to the boot so I can hear it again. Mike's solo during Black...stunning. Alive had Ed running all over the place and he did a mock stage dive, if he'd gone into the crowd it wouldn't have surprised me...he looked insanely happy. He managed to kick one of Mike's leads out, but they recovered so well I doubt most even noticed. Baba O'Riley was just a total party and Mike proper nailed it. By this point it was getting very late so as Yellow Ledbetter kicked in a brief thought about the last metro train flashed through my mind, but was soon pushed aside by a pure Mike solo.

So those were my memories of my first show on the floor, it's going to be hard going back up to the nosebleeds...but at least we have Copenhagen before that and who knows, maybe I'll get lucky again next tour.

Some pics here, thank you Pearl Jam!!!

What a night that was guys?!?

    Really amazing!
The energy in the air and the way it was interacting between the band and the crowd was something out of this world!
Actually, words can not express what we have lived!

Because of my work i could attend only one concert in this tour. The feeling that i had when the show ended is that i want to see this band again and again!I am really jealous,in a good way,of the fans following the band around europe!I hope i will be with you next time!

The day before the show i was at the preshow party of the fanclub.
I was amazed of how friendly everybody was!I met fans from around the globe.
    They came from Sweden,France,America,Australia!!!
I didnt need to do any effort to meet somebody. We were all wearing Pearl Jam tshirts and smiling to each other, saying cheers with our beers!
It felt like i was a member of a big multinational family, sharing the same passion for the band!

I think you couldn't have picked a better show. Prague was my first of this tour. Berlin 1 and 2 were great, but Prague still that standout for me. Might actually be my #1 show but I will need to listen to the boot before I officially rank :D

I couldn't agree more with Suziemay - I've been to Berlin 1&2, too, but Prague (also going to Copenhagen on Tuesday) still stands out. Why? Because I have never seen the band have so much fun!

This was show #5 for me, right on my doorstep - about a 2 hour drive - in the beautiful city of Prague. I was travelling with my father by car and it turned out that we saw a bit more of the city than we actually wanted! We just couldn't find the damn O2 Arena! I must have asked about 20 people for directions (and everyone was very very nice and tried their best to describe the way to the venue! Thanks!!!) but we still couldn't find it. We thought of getting a taxi to the venue but we just couldn't find any of them either. We were completely helpless, mainly because of the fact that we KNEW that we were basically driving around the thing and just couldn't find it  So we arrived in Prague at about about 16:45 and finally found the O2 around 21:00!!!! I'm not kidding...I must sound like a dumbass now but so what  So we parked the car, picked up the tickets and finally got inside the arena when the lights were already down and the crowd was cheering...a quick thought from me: "Damn..we missed the mainset and they are about to play the encore now" Fortunately (thanks thanks thanks!! what are the odds?) they started 30 minutes late and, though we missed X, we arrived just in time! You can't imagine my relief!!! So to the city of Prague: how about hanging up a few signs that are not pointing in the opposite direction of the O2!? (a note to me: get GPS!)

As a reward for all the trouble I got two of my most wanted songs right at the beginning - the start with Sometimes and Animal was just spectacular! I know that especially Animal is a commonly played song but I haven't had the pleasure yet...it completely rocked the Prague crowd who stayed in an euphoric mood the whole night! Next up was Given to Fly, time to take a look at the building itself and it's really quite a sight. I can't imagine sitting in one of high balconies (about 20 to 25 meter up I'd say?!) but it was really cool seeing people rocking out in them. I didn't think that such a hall could have such a good atmosphere but it just was amazing. Compare it to the O2 in Berlin and the later just falls flat, despite the crowd in Berlin being even more energetic. Anyway, we had a few more highlights in the mainset - God's Dice obviously is a killer tune that they don't play that often, really appreciated it! Setting Forth was a new song for me, not a real highlight but it was kind of cool seeing Ed play the opening chords on guitar behind his head just like Mike did right before on Even Flow  The especially mad version of Push Me Pull Me blew me away. I love that this song gets the recognition it deserves and is played with this brilliant new arrangement more often. Next up was Garden and that really was the best tune of the night. SO beautiful...and I just love it when Garden comes on (you can hear it on most of the boots when they play it, too) the crowd doesn't just cheer but seem to make more of an impressed "oooooooooooh (shit!") Obviously the encore-opening Of The Girl was another WOW moment, as well as Crazy Mary which had one of the best Mike/Boom jams that I can think of. The rest of the encore was mainly hits but the crowd made them completely stand out! It didn't think I could enjoy Alive and Better Man (amazing Improv/Save it for Later, too!!!) THIS much but it was such a magic night that they could have played Sweet Lew three times in a row and nobody would have minded  Right before the very ending with Ledbetter they kicked out Baba...I have never heard Ed singing it with so much passion. The whole band was really into the gig with lots of action on stage but Ed was just in such a good mood that I have to mention him! I even enjoyed Just Breathe very much!!! But one thing even he couldn't make better: the ugliest gig poster I have ever seen! I bought it anyway... :fp:

    wow!!!!
one week ago we were in Prague and today I'm still so excited!!!

It was my 2nd show: the 1st one was 2000 in Verona.
In prague it was my first in wristband area. Jeff/Mike side, like 3rd row.
I have to say that everything was super-cool. 10c people is very nice: everybody helped me since I was looking for more 10c tickets for my friends. Finally I got them!! :D
there was an Argentinian group in front of me (Tremor Christ), super US and Canadian people (fortheloveofpearljam I think you were close to me (I'm the chewingum girl  )).
And also many people from Italy, like me.

during X concert Mike was enjoying their perfomance with his son, taking pics, singing all songs,etc... Boom also was there.
At the beginning of PJ show I saw Eddie family on the left side of the stage.
So nice to see how it can be easy and normal...

About the concert... wow, what can I say?
    It has been PURE MAGIC!!!
Really nice to hear so much of Ten, especially GARDEN.... Soooooooooooooo f******g good!!!
I couldn't believe when, after Just Breathe (it simply took my breath away) I heard the beginning of Crazy Mary (one of my fav covers ever)!!!
I loved Got Some and Unthought Know: pure energy!!!!
The guys were enjoying so much: they seemed to be HAPPY and this is the best part I think.
The response of the crowd was enthusiastic and there was a big exchange between the stage and the floor (I have to say that Mike is amazing!!! he's so warm with the fans!!!).
It's a unique experience to see a PJ concert in the wistband area. You can enjoy every single instant, hear what the guys tell each other... I even catched the eyes of Eddie, Jeff and Mike and you feel like if you are in the stage, together with them. You are not in the audience, you are part of the show.

I will never forget that night. And I'm sure, I will not miss any PJ concert anymore when they will come close to Italy!!!

Pearl Jam have the fans they deserve!!! :clap::clap:
    You know something's left
    And we're all allowed
To dream of the next time we touch..

OMFG last night was AMAZING! And I am on disbelief that I get to do this again 2x in Berlin! Highlights for me were DTE, Crazy Mary, Garden, Not For You, and Baba! But really, every song was a highlight! The energy was absolutely incredible and the fans, to each and everyone of you that I met... Thank You! We shared an amazing event and I can't wait to see many more of you tonight in Berlin at the preparty. I am now officially spoiled by Europe GA standing tickets! Was abut 3rd row Mike's side and being that close was a dream come true!!!:clap::clap:

    :clap::clap::clap: :thumbup: :thumbup:

I came back from the tour almost a week ago, but I haven't posted anything till now, because I couldn't find words to describe the shows I attended and how they made me feel. Amazing is not enough! :D

I started the tour in Prague. It was my second PJ show, almost exactly two years after I'd seen them for the first time and fallen in love with their music! I was very emotional and I couldn't believe it was really happening.
I came to the queue near the time the will call started and I ended up in the third row between Eddie and Stone. Unbelievable! Wow, it was great to enjoy the music, sing and dance so close to the stage. The crowd was rough at times and I got pushed away couple rows back but the energy was amazing and still I could see the stage easily :)

I had the feeling the show would start with Sometimes and was so happy to hear it and sing it with all the freaks around me! The entire setlist was great but the highlight for me was the run from Setting Forth to Why Go. Not For You was awesome and ended beautifully with Modern Girl, it has always been my favourite tag :D In my wildest dreams I didn't dream of hearing Push Me, Pull Me - I got totally crazy, jumping and screaming and I think that Eddie must have noticed cause he was looking at me during one part of the song :D Garden....the first pj song I was obsessed with- amazing version, again I couldn't believe I was there and that it was really happening. Unthought Known turned out to be a great song live, usually I am not a big Backspacer fan, but I have to admit it was cool! I was very happy to hear Life Wasted (sig :) )
I could go on and on, how great was every song played, I enjoyed them all! Amazing show :D

As people have already mentioned, the band was in great spirits, they seemed very happy! :D

I want the bootleg already! :)

Even if the boot is only able to capture a small part of the nights magic...it will be my most listened to boot ever!!
