Anyone from here going to either of these shows? Starting a tailgate in the VIP lots!

    Are you on the Warehouse? If so, you can find the info on the gathering of a ton of really good people before both shows. Have fun at the shows! I am jealous

    Yeah and I did that last year for the Caravan, met a few cool people...but I'd rather hang out with 10C people if I could...don't visit the WH very much!

    i am so, so tempted to buy last minute tix. i enjoyed the river's edge set for the most part, and think the sets this tour have een pretty good. i'm chasing a handful of songs they've played this year, too, which is another enticement. haven't missed an alpine show since 06, but no one could go this year (babies being born and all) so i didn't pick up tix when they went on sale. what to do, what to do...

    Go go go go! If anything, 1 out of the 2 dates! They've been on fire this tour, setlists have been great, and they always bring it at Alpine! Someday I hope to see DMB there! :)

    YES DO IT!!! You can meet up with my girlfriend and I for some tailgating!

    yes, yes, they do. i will be surprised if the alpine '08 weekend will ever be surpassed in terms of shows i see by them, but the sets they've been playing this year are prime and they always do something special there, so i'm really feeling like i'd miss out on something if i don't go this year. alpine '08 was just an incredible set of shows, and the crowd stuck around chanting 'thank you falettin me be mice elf agin' for something like 20 minutes after they left the stage. so cool.

    tix probably wouldn't be the problem lodging would be- guess i should check that out, too.

    we will be there. I will be surprised if they allow grills. They put the ban in this weekend for the Phish show.

    Hey all...I will be going both nights with several friends....we are staying at the Americinn in Elk Horn. I would love to meet up with some 10c members! Does anyone know of shuttles or cabs? There are six of us. I was at River'sEdge Fest and it was amazing! Looking forward to this weekend.


    Also. We may have an extra lawn seat as well. I am also going to the Wilco show Sunday night and currently have 2 extrasfor that in Geneva.

    Awesome! I'd offer a ride but we've only got 2 spots in my car...you're all welcome to join us in the lot! I would call the Americinn and see what they recommend in terms of getting to the venue.

    Yea, they gave us the # to a bus company. I am getting ready to call them and a limo service I saw online. Where is the VIP lot going to be?

    the lots don't open until 3 as per Alpine Valley's facebook page. If you want to get in the lot at 2, it will cost you at least $20.

    Yeah I just saw that yesterday, we're leaving from McHenry around 2, so we'll probably head in around 3 or so.

    I don't mind lawn.

    When I went to see PJ last September I had lawn seats and thought they were great. Now granted I landed up way down front by the rails but still. Center lawn was perfect for me :mrgreen:

    haven't pulled the trigger yet. i keep going back and forth on it. the usual camping spots are all full and i'm not keen on springing for a hotel for friday night (i'd just leave after the sat. show). but we'll see. i still feel like i'd be missing out if i don't go.
