    We were just evacuated from our home. I am staying
    with my sister in the next town over. I could possibly
    lose everything AGAIN!!! But the important things are safe, my
    family, my cat, and paperwork. So exhausted... Going to sleep.

    I'm glad you're safe. That's the bottom line.

    My sister is in Colorado Springs but lives on the other side of town from where the fire is. So we're just waiting and watching.

    Let it rain indeed. I don't think most folks really care about wildlife in a situation like this, but I was talking to a Yellowstone ranger last weekend, and he said the moose population is still extremely crippled from the big fire in 88.

    On Wednesday night so I have just been busy
    unpacking myself and my cat. Thanks again for
    checking on me.

    I've been thinking about you a lot and am glad you're OK.
    My sister lives in Colorado Springs but is on the opposite end of town from the fire. She's been keeping me up to date on how things were going. Very sad how many people have lost their homes and now there are lives lost as well.

    Ive been watching on the news as much as I can,so sad,when ever I see someone on camera talking it just chokes me up....last year about this time we lost almost a whole town completely in my province,life just sucks sometimes

    "Sometimes life just don't leave you alone."..I can tell you, we watched from the hospital when those flames raced down the hill into Mountain Shadows..We were so scared for all those people.. and so you know how scary this truely was.. they'd originally EVACUATED that part of the city.. then that day, they'd let them back in for two hours to grab more things.. right in the midst of all that, the wind kicked up to 65 mile an hour gusts and the fire LEAPT over the quarry and took out all those houses..And so far only two lives have been lost but still that's two too many..

    How are you guys? I spent the first 6 years of my life out in C Springs and I visit every few years... Hope things improve.

    Peacefrompaul, so far other than two bodies being found
    in a house on the Mountain Shadows neighborhood
    and 347 some odd houses burning to the ground, I believe
    we are through the worst of it. Woodland Parl residents
    get to go home tomorrow after 4pm. So hopefully this is getting
    better. It's been scary but this is an amazing community
    and we've been pulling together and helping each
    other.
