how long did you have the cast on?
I didn't go trough surgery but ended up with more than 2 months with cast. almost whole summer break :fp:
A couple months. It was removable, however... was doing physical therapy the entire time I had it
"Physical therapy"...never heard it referred to that way, could have used the other hand when the wrist was healing, but it certainly should have strengthened the damaged wrist nicely.
