    Why do people use measurements in terms that not everybody knows?

    I don't know how big a BB pellet is...I've never shot a BB gun before.

    If they just said 'it is just under half a centimeter', or 'about 4.5 millimeters' I would have known...unless people don't know how to measure anymore :problem:

    no...only on an x-ray...it was inside a cat

    I have shot a 12g shotgun though.

    that doesn't help...I need to know which sapphires to send back to get graded and or cut. They have to be at least the size of a BB.
