This band doesn't appeal to me at all.  Not being critical....their music just doesn't grab me.
If you are just going by this recent release, give it another try with older albums. If upu have tried that and they still aren't your thing, I get that they aren't for everyone.
Exactly. I'm only now finding my way into the new album by just putting it on in the background when I'm doing work. I still think it is their weakest album, but it at least partially scratches an itch for new material from them. Hopefully the new Cherry Tree release is a live record of older tours.

Wow- demand seemed really high for the pre-sale today. I grabbed a single $99 ticket but unsure I'll make it with an infant at home. Will post here first if I can't use it.

Exciting to see such a great response to the pre-sale for Homecoming.  Moved to tier 2 pricing by 10:14 AM and to tier 3 pricing by 11:26 AM yesterday.  Thankful my coworkers understood when I said, "Yeah, I have to walk away for a few to order concert tickets . . . "  Got them at the tier one price.  :triumph:

2018's festival was incredible- such a good vibe and well run. Also really reasonably priced. It also helped me discover Big Thief which is now one of my favorite bands. Was a nobrainer to buy 1.

Wow. That would be a great show. I would show up late, though. All I need is the National and Patti Smith and I'm good!

I love our library. I was able to find music from all bands but the last three. I will check another library system for those.

I am so excited! Going with one of my very great friends to hang out by the bridge and have people sing to us. We're staying pretty close so we'll be able to be there for both days for as many bands as we can see!  We haven't been able to hang out for a few years so it will be nice to hang out with my PJ buddy and just truly get to spend some time together.

  • Can't wait for this. I really enjoy listening to the last record they gave us. I just hope this isn't live stuff featuring songs off of the new album.

I just made a listing under lost dogs as my wife and I are huge fans of the National. We're excited to be travelling from Vancouver to Cinci for Homecoming this year! We were also planning on going to Australia and hitting many dates on the tour, but some family health issues have required us to stay closer to home this year. Hopefully, we'll be able to go in 2021 (ideally, linking up with a PJ tour!).

Anyways, the reason for this post is pass on the subject of the lost dogs post, which is that we have tickets to shows in Fremantle (Perth), St. Kilda (Melbourne), and Brisbane. The tickets are GA for Fremantle and Brisbane, but are seated in St. Kilda (at the historic Palais Theatre). The seats are within the first few rows as we a Cherry Tree members. Anyways, if any of you live in Australia, know anyone there, or are interested in an adventure this coming year, please PM me. Tickets will be sold for face value of course.

Thanks and Happy New Year to all!
