Anyone thinks Antwerp was even a little little bit...better than Arnhem??? I know it sounds crazy 'cos Holland was in top form and the atmosphere was unforgettably uplifting... but I felt they managed to top the previous night which is crazy...anyone?

I still need time to get everything straight and listen to the Antwerp show a few times (so far I've listened to Arnhem 10 times or so), but at 1st I thought Antwerp was just a wee bit better. Cant explain why..

That's how I feel as well...but listenning to Antwerp and Anrhem cds did not help me 'cos both are pretty fantastic...
Antwerp crowd was a little bit more into the show maybe...and don't forget how amazing Black was!!!

Than I thought I'd chill out for a moment and treat myself to a nice cold Stella. But noooooooooooh "Sorry sir we dont serve beer during the show". "WHAT!? I thought i was in Belgium, the beer capitol of the world..?"

    That was Pearl Jam's decision.

Are you sure it was THEIR decision??? Kinda weird but it didn't really bother me cos I couldn't even get close to that bufet!!!

I would like to thank that tall security woman at the stage for supplying me and my friend with water after almost every song!!! She looked frightening at first but she turned out to be very very kind!!! Thanx again!

Yeah, I wont ever forget, but opening with Release, Why Go and Save You was pretty awesome and Daughter was pretty beautifull.. But Antwerp also had Hunger Strike, Indifference, Present etc. Ugh I can't make up my mind, too hard to choose now, perhaps in time..

I'm 200% sure that it was the band who asked there would be no beer sold after 60 minutes into the show.

We've come this far that even Americans know we're the Beer Capital of the world, but they don't know that contrary to many other nations we know how to drink without getting wasted! I mean, each thirty year old Belgian has about ... 7 (?) year more beer drinking experience than Americans .. :-)

    Question of habit... :D
I don't know if it was PJ's ecision or not but I was so thirsty during teh show that I left my position in the secod nrow and went to the bar.. then I asked for a beer, and they told me "Sorry, no drink during the show...".
I lost my good position for nothing...

That's weird Julien, because in seating, I saw people leave and come back with beers!

It's funny 'cos I was so fuckin' thirsty I could have drunk half of Schelde:) Previous night in Arnhem I wasn't thirsty at all although I stopped drinking at noon...But in Antwerpen I got at least 1,5 litre of water from that security woman during the show but I felt I was dying of thirst!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the hell???

Maybe during the first part of the show ?
Or maybe people went outside to get beers ?

For anyone speaking Dutch, here's what we received from 'teleticketservice' one day before the concert :

    > SPECIALE AANDACHT

    >

It says very much attention will be paid to security and the second last point quotes that on explicit demand of the group no 'pet flessen'='plastic bottles' of drink will be sold, not even water.
The last point states that one hour after the start of the concert of Pearl Jam no more alcoholic drinks will be sold. It's not explicitely mentioned here that the question (demand) comes from the group itself.

So, the question remains open, I guess

    un-fucking-real

My first PJ show, 10c tickets, the closest I got was 2nd row the furthest 10th row or something... left side between Mike and Ed...

"The waiting drove me mad...", when I heard that I knew it was going to be awesome!

    black, betterman, crazy mary...

Why Go (for some reason this really got to me, I was so happy to hear it, I don't know why it's not even one of my favourite songs)...

Indifference, Hunger Strike, Baba O'Riley, Alive, Jeremy, Even Flow... every song was so great...

Even the news songs, which I didn't like as much, are now new favourites...

    great show.

pearlwax, I must have been close to you...
Neil, I'm sure I saw you now after reading your blog...remember when you were talking to this guy and a beach ball fell and everyone jumped back screaming? It must have been you!!! See you next time!

    edit: thirsty...

man, listening to the boot right now, it's so good
    THANK YOU, LOSTDAWG!

Listening to the booth for the, I think 40th time or so... Incredible.
We were so lucky to catch this gig.
After a bottle of wine I get tears in my eyes too when the crowd keeps on continuing the dudududu dududu at Black... :-) Amazing... Imagine the shivers the band must have felt at that time...

Don't get me wrong: I DO get tears in my eyes without the botlle as well,
but yeah, what the hell, it's just great...

    See ya next year!

Yes, you can't get enough of that...was a great decision to catch them in the Benelux, both the crowd and the band deserved each other!!!
Black was magnificient but that's the only moment when the bootleg cannot express how fuckin' loud and unforgettable the crowd was by singing, whistling, applause and foot noise:) I almost cried...and damn that security guy who did not allow me to shoot a loud video of Black (only the first minute) Shame on you!!!

It's been more than a month now...
I was in Paris (great Pearl Jam but unfriendly people around) and Vienna (which was a great show as well) but still I can't forget any second of Antwerp. This really was the best show I've ever been to! Maybe it is because it was my first PJ show... but I'd never felt such an intense emotion shared by thousands of people in my whole life. I get to cry anytime I listen to Black...

Thank you so much to Eddie and the band for being so good... Thank you so much to all of you who were there too...

    See you next year!
    I miss you already....

Yeah, you might be right...if I should pick ONLY one out of 3 shows (Arnhem, Antwerp, Vienna) I've been to then it would be A-N-T-W-E-R-P (but I don't want to choose, all of them were fabulous)!!!
