It doesn't seem like he put much effort into covering his tracks.

he posted video of the actual murder and aftermath online. that tells me that he was not interested in not getting caught. he went to a public internet cafe and read the news about himself. he did not even profess innocence when the police found him. he is not fighting extradition. to me that says that he did not really care if he was caught or not. he is a sick man.

Yeah that's kind of what I was getting at. It just seems kind of at odds with how most killers seem to operate, they want to keep on killing, but he's either really stupid or he pretty much wanted to get caught.

I just read that they are investigating possible links between him and the body parts that were found below the Hollywood sign earlier in the year, and a similar murder in Arizona.

it does seem strange. i read that he had posted snuff films of him killing kittens and he had posted online somewhere that the next time it would not be cats...

and i had not heard about that story with body parts under the hollywood sign. if it is related this is certainly going to get even more intriguing...

Yeah I remember my sister telling me about the kitten videos months ago, grim stuff.

    Sick motherfucker.

Why is this piece of shit still alive and breathing?

And aside from being disturbed by the story itself, I also couldn't believe there are "gore" sites dedicated to posting actual videos like his.

    I just don't get it.

it reminds me of that movie 8mm with the snuff film stuff and the deep underground market for that kind of stuff... it is really disturbing.

That movie gave me nightmares at the time, truly horrible.

I read an interview with the guy who owns the site the video was posted on, where he was trying to justify the site, he said:

"I don’t seek controversy out. I may point fingers at it but I’m merely a messenger, a bringer of truth, regardless of how controversial,”

He reckons that viewers of the video managed to identify Magnotta days before the police. That may be the case, but you really do have to question the motivation anyone has for wanting to watch such videos. I know people who have watched beheading videos, Saddam's hanging etc, and whilst I recognise there is a natural curiosity, you have to question what kind of effect viewing such videos has on a person's psyche.

His actions suggest to me that nothing is more important to him as fame and attention. And now he definitely has that, so I guess mission accomplished! The story just gets more and more fucked up each day, and each day more people around the world know who he is. He is one fucked up sociopath.... even by sociopathic standards he's fucked!

Yeah, there is a curiosity factor for normal people I'm sure, but there are also a LOT of people out there who seek out this kind of sick shit because they get off on it in someway. Apparently there is a big market for real life gore like that, and that is scary. Reminds me of how many totally screwed up creeps are out there. And anyone hosting websites with that stuff knows there is a huge market for that shit, and that's why they post it. Not to "tell the truth."

Stay away from 3 guys and a hammer. Watch that and see how many nights u lay around in bed thinking how on earth can a human do that to another. But then u realize that they're not human. NO HUMAN can do what any of these fucks do. I've seen both videos. Never seen anything as disturbing as the 3 guys and a hammer video. Mexican cartel beheadings, war beheadings not so disturbing as these other 2. I warn all of u NOT TO WATCH!!!
  • He probably just got to big for his own head and came to a point that he thought he could do anything. Especially if he did pull off the Hollywood and other murders.

I didn't know our mail was so slow as to mail something from Montreal and it gets there a week or so later to Vancouver.

What is next? Bernardo is going to say that it was really Magnotta and that the police got the wrong person because he looked like the guy.

Bring on the bleeding hearts to tell hedonist that there should be no death penalty for people like this and that a life term is good enough and he can be rehabilitated.

I can't believe there are websites out there that host murders and refuse to take it down!

Somebody please save society from itself!

Evenflow? Sorry to say it buddy but we as a society love this shit. Just turn on your regular tv at 5pm and see all this glorified murder, sex, and everything your heart desires. It reminds me of that TOOL song vicarious. Just keep it all at a tv's distance and you'll be ok.....;-)

It's totally bizarre that he mailed body parts to 2 elementary schools in Vancouver. But apparently he did some porn movies in Vancouver so I guess he knew about those schools somehow.

    Absolutely crazy shit.

    Excellent reference!

And yeah, I don't see any purpose served in keeping this man alive and taken care of. Seems upside-down to me.

Nothing wrong with sex. :) ... What shows glorify murder? I know a lot of shows that present murder as something bad, but none that glorify it... Maybe Dexter (great show).

I was curious. I think everybody has a little curiosity in them. Do I recommend everyone watch, HELL NO. Am I glad I saw the videos, HELL YES cuz it shows u what REAL evil is and that it's out there. Sometimes it's the tiniest thing that can decide if u live or die. I'm sure these guys who were brutalized by these fucks had NO IDEA they were gonna get murdered. Death for these beasts is to civil. If you've seen the videos youd understand.

I was actually talking about the news in general. They just censor it for everybody, whereas I chose to see the real deal holyfield....I'm NOT glorifying any of these videos in any way. They are the SICKEST, MOST DISTURBING SHIT I've ever seen.

I found myself watching a horrific video like this before and it made me feel terrible. But I couldnt answer myself as to why I watched it at first. It dawned on me later, after the shock wore off:
I don't believe in the devil. But I know the world has its share of folks that are vying for that spot. I bet if someone told you that they knew Jesus/God and you could see him, that you would accept that opportunity. I would, especially as an agnostic...but if someone told you that you could see the devil, would you? I took the opportunity because I am always amazed at people, good or bad, and to see how horrific some can act, truly makes me think twice about how the brain works. (or doesnt work for that matter)

I know exactly what you're talking about Johnny. And I know that feeling u had inside u from watching buddy. I lied in bed many nights wondering how can anyone do that?!?!?! I'm wondering if that genes in everyone, the gene that allows u to lose all feeling inside u and commit such brutal disregard for life....

Yeah, I understand watching it too.... God, I still often think about some vids I watched to learn what is done to animals as a paying supporter of IFAW, and feel disturbed years and years after when I think of them... watching humans being tortured is way worse... But I get watching it, kind of to witness the horror and understand it, rather than just keeping your head in the sand.

But then there is the other motivation. Some gross people i was stuck with one night when I was much much younger put on Faces of Death when I was there (and I was on acid.). I'm not even sure if Faces of Death is real or what, but those weirdos certainly thought so, and they were actually getting off on it and laughing and actually seemed to think it was awesome. Pure entertainment, watching people die horrible deaths. I walked out, and never went near them again. I don't know how people can sit and watch shit like that and not just feel horrified. Gross, very stupid people can I guess.

Oh man, Faces of Death was almost a rite of passage when I was in my teens. I watched it with my sister - no laughing though, more like morbid fascination.

These many years later, I'm not inclined to subject myself to that kind of imagery and brutality - of people OR animals - although I get the reasons stated above for watching this sort of thing.

Curiousity got me once and I watched a beheading video back in '04?

    It was horrible.

Why do you need to see evil to know it's out there? I know from reading about it that the acts they commited are evil.

Some people feel they need to see stuff to understand it; some people want to really grasp everything, even the awful stuff. I don't see a problem with that, and I don't think there's anything wrong with it. It's easy to SAY you understand something or whatever, but without witnessing it, some people just don't feel that way. I'm one of them. I want to see and understand anything that I want to talk about or discuss, really (although I've not sought out the Magnotta murder vid, I have watched some of the other shit online that he posted, as well as a vid about his vids with killing kittens, made by animal rights activists - just wanted to get a clearer view of what the guy is about). I only have a problem with people who like it or get some sick pleasure out of it.

I've sat in the stands behind Bill Belichick and his coaching staff ... I don't need to watch this video to know what true evil looks like.

So if it wasn't for the internet you wouldn't really have the ability to fully understand something so horrific? How exactly does it enrich your knowledge of the subject? I wonder how the victim or the family would feel about people watching their brutal death to satisfy their curiosity? How would you feel if it was a member of your family whose death was viewable online?

There should be no death penalty for people like this. Life term is good enough ;)
    (not touching the rehabilitation part).

What shocked me most about this is that he allegedly dated Karla Homolka.....wtf....is there some kind of sadist/murderer club you can join in Ontario, or what? :?
