Vs. Iron Mask set- promo? legit? unofficial

I have been scouring the collector sites on the infamous Iron mask CD box set for Vs. I thought long ago it was legit, but is it now/always been a unofficial release? Anyone have a website with specifics? I know it is out of 2000 but it seems to have disappeared off all the sites
